Correct me if I'm wrong, because I'm no tuner, but your "real" target AFR is actually much lower than 11.5 considering the stoich value of E85, right? That number you're giving is just what's generated on the gas sensor? I learn where I can, haha.
At least the conservative timing will allow you to be race ready more easily if you were tune swapping. I just got active on here and this is one of the more impressive builds.
I can't wait to see what this looks like with new injectors.

1.0 lambda on e-85 is 9.7:1
tuning off lambda will yield the same results on the afr gauge. setting an 07 stoich afr to 9.7 just pisses the car off to no end. the sensor doesn't know what fuel is being pushed past it. it just has a set parameters to read off of.
it still shoots fireballs like none other too!

Still curious on what the gas mileage is like. I know e85 takes up more fuel, but something a little more exact would be nice. Like "you can get about X miles per gallon on the highway or I got X miles to a tank of gas driving reasonably" etc.

Thanks I appreciate it. I have really been thinking about switching to e85. However I am questioning whether or not it is really worth it compared to meth and 93. The fact that you can run more timing down low is a great reason to upgrade and the fact that it has such a high octane rating is nice. Plus I wouldn't have to worry about check valves, or dirty nozzles, or plain and simply running out of meth. Is there anything you don't like about e85 yet? I am assuming the lack of availability is the only thing stopping more people from switching to e85.
edit: What injectors were you using when you dyno'd and what injectors are you upgrading to? Besides the injectors are you going to change anything else fuel system related? Such as upgrading to the return style fuel system, changing the fuel pump, adding voltage to the fuel pump etc. Or are you simply just changing the tune and the injectors?

Gas mileage really shouldn't be of a concern. It looks like area is only losing like 60 miles or so to a tank of gas. That isn't all that bad considering how cheap e85 is compared to 91-93 octane. Also, the fact that you can sell your injectors and meth *if you have it* to help pay for 79/80lbers really helps a lot too. I could actually switch to e85 and make money at the end of the day.

now correct me if im wrong...but:
converting involves flushing and draining...you cant just oneday decide to go back and just put it in at the pump....
and any part that can be used with e85 can be used with 93 gasoline

The only thing you would have to do to go from e85 to 93 octane is switch the tune and drain the tank of e85, refill with 93 octane. If you literally ran out of gas on e85 and were at a gas station that sold gas, you could switch tunes and refill up.

That's not a bad idea either. Although if you were cool Tom you would use a really little netbook for all of your tuning instead of that old "thing" you call a laptop haha. I am really thinking about getting a netbook for xmas this year lol, there getting cheaper and cheaper and better and better.

i have 79's right now. later this week, i will be putting my injector dynamics 1000's in. at 60psi of rail pressure they are 1375 cc's. coverted to lb/hr it's 98lb hr. second largest injectors on the market. pretty much the largest the lsj ecm can run with in reason.
fuel pump wise? im doing something that requires a lot of fabrication and outflows an aeromotive a1000.

just to add insult to injury. i found two leaking injector insulators tonight. apparently the 1/2 fuel rail bolt wanted to say bye bye to me. wish i would have known this before i dynoed! boost leaks are fun
