People are talking about 400whp Turbo cars being faster than 300whp TVS cars and you bring up a race between a ~340whp Turbo car and a 375whp TVS car?

With that said... mod lists? A LOT more done to the TVS car than done to the Turbo car. There was less than $2500 under the hood of the turbo car.

That would probably be Rissa, 06black, or hoffa I believe.
We both had 2 passengers. I had Steddy and Altiery with me. Both 200+lbs.

My set-up has since been optimized and improved for the better. Since Area dumped his car... if any TVS car wants to fill his place in a rematch... you're more than welcome. Offer has already been extended to one. My car has already pulled on one E85 TVS car. Guess its record is 1-1 vs TVS cars.

Ha, oh yes it did. I was hitting upwards of 5* of Knock Retard on that run. The car didn't like the gas there. Was noticeably misfiring and pulling timing in 4th. Stayed in it though... for the sake of the race. Car has smoked a little bit ever since then.

I paid $2600 for a real garrett turbo kit all the way down to a tune that put down 320whp/330wtq, that included EVERYTHING even with a new aem intake. after changing over some of the parts to aftermarket, i have 360whp and still below $3k. the machinist is almost done with my second motor and then i'll be able to bump up to 450whp+ with the push of a button.

and lastly, i chime in for the same reason you chime in trying to say how superior a tvs is; the only difference is that my opinion is right and yours is not.
whered you buy the turbo kit from? If i can get a turbo kit for around the same price as a tvs, id go turbo! I just dont know who sells full turbo kits for lsj's!

Do a little research and piece one together.

If you want a ready made kit, be prepared to fork out some more cash then. Contact Matt M or Ryan@ZZP and they will help you out with that.

And I highly doubt that selfinfliction bought a full kit. He's a rather smart guy, so I figure he probably pieced together a kit like I did. That's about the only way to do it for that small of an amount.

Either way, my point still stands that you didn't buy a kit direct from a Vendor for that amount of money.

did you even read what i said I never once said that the tvs was superior to a turbo... I clearly stated that for big power turbo is definitely the way to go. you are purely twisting my words up to make yourself sound right. all I have been trying to get through your thick head is exactly what usmc a fellow turbo lsj called you out on. you cannot buy a full brand kit from a vendor for that much. stop trying to feed everyone bulls**t. it is a known FACT that you can make more power going turbo I am not arguing that point in any way. its also a fact that to buy a full kit from a vendor you better have deep pockets.

Turbo is the way to go to make happy numbers on the dyno, but anything over 350wtq is useless on street tires/daily driver FWD. My .02cents

I'm pretty close to, if not over, 350wtq... and its not useless on street tires. No, I can't come off line using my 2-step... but the car only spins through 2nd gear... and even then, the car is still accelerating hard. Set your car up properly and you won't spin all day.
