Thanks. These pictures help me immensely as I wait.
The project is expected to have a running, dyno-tuned engine/drivetrain in the car by the middle of September. From there we are still 2 months away from the final completetion.
The next big hurdle will be a running engine. The race engine is supposed to be assembled by Aug. 18th.

Returned PM
There are lots of giant parts there and I know it is against your nature to be more specific but please which missing giant front mount are you referring to???
The heat exchanger or radiator would be my first two guesses.

I think bryan was refering to an air-air intercooler, buy you are not going to be running an air-air intercooler, correct? Im prettey sure i saw linmova cores in your intake and remember talk of the super cooler using electronic peltier cooling.

At this point the super cooler is a no-go because it doesn't seem to produce enough cooling for it's price. At least that was the result on the modified Cobalt it was tested on.
The cost has gotten to the point where it is a huge burden.

Yes we are running a water-to-air intercooler whuch is visible slightly on the cold side of the engine behind the charge pipes.

I am hoping that each week now there will be something picture worthy posted about the car. The pressure is really on the shops right now.
Coming from anyone else I would have guessed it, but coming from such a buttoned down man like your self, I am really surprised. Good to see you have learned to lighten up.
UPDATE
This news just arrived, the Bigstuff3 standalone is complete and has shipped to JBP.

I will tell that to my wife, the boss, but I think I can already hear her response, "can you get them all to help pay for the car"
She is a wonderful wife. A bit optimistic at times but a wonderful wife just the same.

i know its a little late, but Ive been gone in FL. BUT thank you for giving a towel warning i think we all needed that. It looks better and better.
As for the turbo's, i always though you were just going to use the smaller one to charge the bigger one, I thought that was said a long time back, but i like the idea of the new system. I bet that also saves gas too, which is always good.
As for the hood, i hope they don't have to raise it that much, and you can keep it close to looking like the stock hood.

I should know shortly how high the hood is going as JBP talked with the shop yesterday and I am waiting for the call now. The hood has to follow the cobalt lines but it will be going up way to much for my liking
As for the turbo setup, this has long been the plan (I know it has changed a couple of time like everything else has) The basic idea is to remove as much turbo lag as possible. As for gas mileage, what is that ???

Haha yea, took me a while.
That sucks about the hood, it would have been sweet if it could have been stock, then the only thing that would give away the car would be the rediculous tires.
Oh well i guess i just missed the talk about the turbo's. Whoops! oh well.
And you know gas mileage, the thing you will never have with this car.

Well long story short, I'm moving to Florida on Sept 15th. With that being said, the drive from California to Florida takes me right through San Antonio. . I think I might make a pit stop there to check out a car...hopefully something new will have been done to it. I'll be taking my fire suit, helmet, and HANS device to check the fitting of me in the seat with all that stuff on.
