Well long story short, I'm moving to Florida on Sept 15th. With that being said, the drive from California to Florida takes me right through San Antonio. . I think I might make a pit stop there to check out a car...hopefully something new will have been done to it. I'll be taking my fire suit, helmet, and HANS device to check the fitting of me in the seat with all that stuff on.

That is what I was told in '06 and again in '07. It sucks that half way through '08 and I am hearing it again.
I do like the sounds of that but I am betting my wife isn't going to smile at that suggestion.

Update
Update time and yes there are one or two pictures that may require getting a towel and placing it on your keyboard, or in your hand
Okay so here we have another update and some pictures. The quality isn't the greatest but you will get the general idea.
We have some news on the alterations to the hood, which I am on record as being opposed to. The hood is being worked on raised 5.88" with a small taper at lip w/all metal work and then it will be primered.
More wiring has been done including the gauge modules, Bigstuff 3 wires have been extended and the BS3 is installed and the MSD was relocated. The turbo switching module pwr regulator and power distribution center are fully assembled.
Charge piping Y-splitter is welded and complete. The charge piping U-splitter is on next and is the final piece for the charge piping. Piping will then be sent out for coating after the final weld on and BOV is installed.
As well the race engine will be completed this weekend as per the deadline set 3 weeks ago. Because of all the time that I have waited for this engine to finally be one piece, pictures will happen shortly there after or........
Okay here are some pictures.
Jason, the mad wiring scientist at work
examples of his work
The Bigstuff3 standalone installed next to the MSD DIS-4 PLUS
Charge piping T
Pictures of some of the coolant line plumbing
Electric water pumps, one for the engine and the other for the intercooler

To o a conversion using the Solstice/Sky tranny rearend will not be as extensive as my project. There will still be lots to do but as long as you stay in the relative power range of those car, you will spend a lot less $$$$$ than I. As well, if you have someone with fabricating skills you will be a head of the game. Labour isn't cheap.

When this standalone was bought it was with the intent of retaining the stock PCM/BCM for all stock electrical functions and Bigstuff3 was the only one that would do that.
Had the original plan been to rewire the whole car, then I likely would have bought something different.
