Actually he owns his own company, and contracts to the mining industry. I have the pleasure of seeing this sweet car all the time, he lives about 1/2 a block away from me.
He also has a CLS63 AMG, and that car sounds so awesome when you mash the throttle!!!

Today I drove home from Banff and saw about 25 exotic cars all on the #1 highway from Banff to Calgary. About 7-10 Lamborghini's, 5-7 Ferarri's, a couple porches, a bentley, possibly a maserati and more. The first one in the lineup was a yellow enzo, not everyday you can say you saw one of those. Just when you see them, you barely had enough time to recognize what kind of car it was before it was gone. Probably the most amazing lineup of cars I've seen of that calibre in my life.

There is an engineer, Chuck, that works at cameco that own's a Ford GT. He may very well also have a side business but is a full time employee of Cameco. Very interesting guy.

The decision will pivot on what GT values are like in a few years. I don't foresee they'll begin to appreciate significantly but who knows. Maybe I'll be stuck with a beater C6.
GT + whipple 3.4L... No Cobalt on earth could keep up!

It was quite interesting a couple weeks ago, he showed up with his Lambo in the morning and the Cameco guy visited our office with his Ford GT later that day. We were hoping for some entertainment to come of it but no luck.

Yeah, the guy in the lambo can't drive it very well.... When he zipped by me the other day, he hit it in first to show off the sound, but it was close to where he was turning, so he road the clutch hard. Sounded like ass, and looked slow. Kinda broke my heart haha.

I'll keep spending my money at Rod's house instead of Lordco/GMPP/Chev, it's going to a FAR better cause.
Don't fall to the V8 talk either, this is something so completely insane that it'll probably never be done again, that's something to tell your grandkids about
Should really get a Cobalt to line up with you for the first pass, just for ***** and giggles.

The latest news.....
....is not much.
The hood is under construction and it supposedly will be completed next week. I have some initial pics but the hood looks like crap at this stage of the process.
We are waiting on a wastegate actuator as the last part for the engine components.
The final touches on the software for the turbo servo motors is supposed to be done soon. Supposedly with in the next few days.
Supposedly the engine is supposed to be tuned and ready to go back to the fabrication shop within 3 weeks.
Time will tell if these things happen or not. Now that my other Cobalt is close to being ready for daily driving, I am less concerned about the project, simply because it won't see the road before spring anyways, not with the way everyone has been dragging their feet.
Also there are actually many rwd Cobalts out there as you can actually buy them in kit form with the SBC. As far as Cobalts converted to RWD, iroc_mitch and myself maybe the only 2 that started off as Cobalts.
Oh and Hi Matt

Sleeping? maybe, dead? not yet
The car is having the last bit of software written for JBP's twin turbo servo motors to work in conjunction with everything else in the car.
We are fast approaching the point where we see if JBP can really pull out this TT setup as promised.
I personally have been focusing on the DD and getting the bugs worked out of this system.
I hope to have more to report this weekend, perhaps even new pictures which is the reason most people check in here.
