Shouldn't I be??????
I agree
I think that train already ran me over, backed up and took another run at me.
Get him to snap a shot installed with the car running. That orange glow on the tubes looks great.

The really cool thing about going RWD is that most forum members are almost as excited about this as I am.
As far as the time line, the car should still see the street in April, just closer to the end than the beginning.
As for the know the cost, I know my wife would like to know that as well. I am so far into this now that Iwork to get competitve prices and sponsorships, but I stopped adding it up. I will do this right and not cut a single corner. This is my "Baby"
As for being able to buy "insert car model here" I wanted a Cobalt, I bought a Cobalt and this will always be my "Cobalt". I enjoy other cars but this is me. I have had 40+ cars in my life. This one is the one I want to go all out on.
As for the burn outs at the track, I even ordered 2 extra slicks and 2 extra d\r's knowing that I will likely need them before to long. I really look forward to feeling the ass end start to kick out on me. (and no Matty I don't mean flatulence )
wow. did u mean april of 2009?

what, dont like the "lightning rod" style shifters of a lenco??? i think there is nothing better. they can also be set up for air shift, or an air/electric shift. a liberty 4 speed would work well also, a little less drivetrain loss. as for the clutch, a 9" crower 2 disc. if you want something that will get it down the track and hold the power, a tunable clutch like a crower is what you need.

Update
Well the latest news is that there is no new news.
If any of you have seen the issues with the daily driver Cobalt, you will know that I have been focusing on getting it running and reliable for going back and forth to work.
At the same time the winter is fast approaching and there is no way the project car will make it onto a road until spring time.
I had really been pushing JBP to get the project done and now we have both agreed that it is time to let off the pressure for the sake of the project. The DD engine died likely due to a simple slip up in assembly, something that cannot be repeated on the project. With five months until clear roads again, the next couple of months will be time for JBP to focus on other customers & projects that they have let slide while working on my car. That will also allow them to come back to the project with clear heads and a renewed focus.
I see no reason to rush anything now simply to have it sit around. The plan is still for the car to be ready for the track come spring time as well as having the unveiling when people can see it on the track doing some all out runs.---------
But is it a LSJ
Where else would you be????
