So it is confirmed, I am heading off to drag racing school in February. That should be a really cool experience.

Let us know how that racing school goes because I was going to go with a friend since he wanted have his camaro run 9's at least but the track he goes to requires a supermod or promod liscense. If it ends up being well worth it I might go over spring break with him.

Ok, ok, perhaps I will only suprise the dim witted but I will be running on smaller tires on the street. Maybe not a lot smaller but smaller just the same.




My enrollment is confirmed and this is a picture of the car that I will take my training in. I am stoked.

I hope to be able to have a video of a run or two from when I am there. This will be a great way to rev me up even more to get the shop to finish my car.

I was at the shop 3 days ago and the piping for the headers only arrived in bits & pieces, so the projects still waits. There is now enough piping for 5 out of 8 pipes and they are suppoesed to focusing on my car. When I was at the shop and saw nothing done in two weeks, I went off. I was pissed. The owner even said he would give me my engine money back and we could call it quits. He wasn't expecting me to say "good then, lets do that" I won't likely get back to the shop before I head to drag racing school but I expect good progress between now and then. I keep reminding the shop owner that racing season is coming soon and that I don't care about the other projects he is working on. I am no longer in the mood to be nice and if I need to yank the car away from him, so be it. Now he understands that too so it is work on it or lose the job. We will know how serious about the project in the next two weeks.


I am not sure but that seems a bit one sided......

You noticed too huh???

The shop who has the car does really good work and now that he knows that I won't settle for being at the bottom of the list, maybe he will start doing more of that 'good work' on my car. He is supposed to be fabricating the custom headers this week so when I get back from Florida, Feb. 18th, I hope to be able to post pics of them as there is no telling what they will end up looking like because of the space constrictions.

I am going to Frank Hawley's Drag racing school in Gainesville.


We are expecting the car to come in around 2300lbs.

I started this mess when I was 46 and it has taken almost 4 years so far making me 50.

I could say the usual line about feeling/looking younger than my age but who would care or believe me.

Then again, I did pass my NHRA physical with flying colors.
