hey now, he already has a a decal guy, when hes in alberta!
rod, that lsx....how many cubes? how thick is the base on those dart heads?
sorry i havent checked in lately, but i finally got my tank into the 11's on street tires....
time for gears and a stroker. im still awaiting my custom rims.....i feel your pain Rod. i should get them after the second snowfall.
ps our golden lab just passed from cancer, and it took about a month for the family to start buggin me
about rescuing another dog. i already have 3 cats (want one? or two?), and 2 dogs.
so the family and i spent a week with an unnamed pomeranian/chiuahah cross trying to name it after car parts, rofl.
runner up names were
Corsa,
Dart
Nitto
Header
Turbo
Chevy was a runner up too, but i reserved that for my next rotty.
in the end, the dog was named "Demi" derived from the DemiBra (half cup) so its a half dog.
i call it ******* for short, haha.

I have waited to respond as certain things were up in the air. Yesterday I was given a detailed list of what is needed to complete the project. With that list is a cost sheet which includes a $11,000. payment due now with another $20,000. needed to finish the project. For those who have followed this project know that my wife has allowed me to get this far and she has been my greatest supporter. I found difficult to tell her that I need $30,000 more after everything that was already poured into this project. From the look on her face and the sadness in her eyes, it is fair to say that the project is through. I tried guys but I can't justify putting my wife through more of this loss by asking her to pull more from RRSP's.

Having said all of that, it seems like the car will come home soon an I will begin the process of selling off what I can. I will leave the website up until it comes up for renewal in a couple of months. I really tried to avoid this ending for the car.

Today I feel like part of me has died. (cry)

Very sad day...sorry to hear that but I'm glad you're making the right decision by your wife.
As an optimist though, maybe somebody will buy it from you and finish the project...?

Sadly, that option is as viable as finishing the project.

It seems unlikely someone would finish this. Selling the parts may be what has to happen.

sorry to hear it but selling the parts would probably get you the most money back.

Some money would be recouped but it will be bittersweet having to do so.

Sorry to hear Rod. This has definitely been a very time consuming and expensive project. Sucks you weren't able to finish it.

because not many people around here can afford $1000 for some parts, much less $30k for a project car that needs another $30k

sad day indeed. Ive been following this since day 1 and the fact we wont be seeing any times posted or watching any vids of this sucks. Its really hard to sell a car like this when it's not complete and parting it out would make you more money in the long run. Everything is brand new.

everybody cross your fingers

My wife and I are going on a short trip to see my ailing mom. Along the way we will be talking about the car.

There is a slight chance that my wife will change her mind and if she does it is really going to cost me as I may end up working for crazy overtime over the next 2 years.

I will know this weekend.
