I stopped watching this thread shortly after the expected JBP fiasco.
I must say, I am amazed that you're still hanging in there and moving forward with the project Rod. You're a better man than I, because I would be in jail right now if the same things happened to me....

my major hickup, is....i paid centerline wheels in advance to build me wheels in 3 weeks......
that was in august, still hearing the same excuses, and i had tires drop shipped from japan for no reason.
now i hunt for a covered wagon to haul my gong show to mission and some kick ass air.

When are you coming out to Mission?? The lastest expectation for my car to be 'track ready' is the end of March. And yes, I mean end of March 2011.

Mini Update
That will be a great day for me to skip work. A vid of the smoke show will also be really cool, perhaps even towel worthy.
I hope to have the project home in about a week to start wiring/interior/body prep.
Mini Update
The wheelie bars are finally mounted as well as cut to their final size. Next I will need to have to make some adjustments to the back skirt. The wheelie bars won't allow for the back piece to remain totally stock so I need to figure out how to proceed. I also had an issue with the rear fenders not being out far enough to allow for clearance from the larger slick now on the back. Instead or reworking the rear fenders, $$$, I ordered another set ofWeld Racing Prostars that has a bigger backspace. The original Prostars will be kept and used for the street rubber as finding a rim that size is hard enough without having to spend a lot more $$$.
This next week should see the arrival of most of the remaining parts needed for this project. Included in these parts will be the new crossmember from Art Morrison Enterprises, This new cross member will enable the wheel base to be lengthened to 105"s making the car to be that more stable while on the track.
Here are some pics taken on my IPhone.
The parachute was a bit of a pain to install because of the need to be able to open the trunk, as that is were my gas tank is.
The pic of the throttle body makes me wonder about gas mileage.
The Painless control box is mounted and will be wired when the car comes home. I will also be installing some system kill switches for anyone who thinks they may enjoy taking her for a spin.

I am told that the Paxtons use better bearings than some other makers and that the blades will acyually be made of Carbon fiber. If it sounds like I am doubtful, it is likely because of all the previos smoke that was blown up my..........

If Resnick is right about this schedule and the parts arrive next week as they should, we are looking at about the end of next month for her to track ready. There will need to be a lot of time spent before then as when she gets home I still have the wiring/interior/body prep and painting of all bare metal. Then there comes the paint job which I have found a booth that I can rent.

I was just at Resnick's and he has changed his mind again. Now he has gone back to the ProCharger F-1R. Now he is telling me that the ProCharger has gone to ceramic bearings and a 2 year warranty. Personally I think he just playing one off of another to see who give the best deal. Sometimes this project creates too much smoke, most which is blown up my a$$.

I was told that the Art Morrison cross member is supposed to arrive @ my US mailing addy this Thursday. This is the lazy major piece for the chassis and on e it is installed the car comes home so that a few volunteers and I can do our part of the project.
