doesn't look like a lot of breathing room in there
I expect there to be enough clearance as the fabricator really knows how to build chassis.

There will be a seat for the wifee. I wouldn't do it with out one.
The problem is shop (not wifee) related.

Looks freeking awesome so far!!! But I gotta ask, why not just run a small block Chevy in it? It'd make more HP then the 2.0 could in an N/A form. Hell go with a 427 small block and have 600+ hp on tap! Not enough? Ok slap a blower on it!

Not hatin on your work I'm just askin is all.

If I had planned rwd from the beginning then a SBC would have been used.
But because the parts for the LSJ were ordered and designed first, too much was spent to scrap the plans for an LSJ.
As well, keeping the LSJ keeps this project truly unique, as there are already rwd Cobalts running v8's.

I haven't seen any on the street. But thats cool. To me a RWD SBC powered Balt would be like a modern Vega.

You are right, as they are race designed track cars such as this one (THIS IS NOT MY CAR)

Do yo have ANY idea what that would do to the old muscle car guys!?!? They'd be like WTF??!!!!!! It'd be great! **** a nice SBC and you'd have an EASY 9 second street car.

Now imagine those same muscle car guys when a 4 banger can pull an 8 second 1/4.
As for popping wheelies, no I won't likely be able to do that but then the cops will have one less reason to pull me over.

pics look good, i hope the problem is that big, and that it can be fixed quickly.
hopefully it will be done during the summer, so that you can have some fun in it.
I also noticed that you have upped the expectations for 1100 when did that happen?

Good eye as most haven't noticed that yet.
I just got around to changing my signature a couple of weeks ago but the expectations were changed with the decision to go with a custom billet racing crankshaft.

But i'm assuming that the 1100 will be your race tune, where are you planning on being on your lower tune. I think you said 450 a long time ago.
