JBP has already inspected the crank and said it is beautiful and un-chipped. I should have a pic to post when I get home tonight.

I have a little question. Did you ever do any research into possibly using a variable vane turbo like what's used on the newer duramax diesels? I was just wondering if that would accomplish the same thing as a dual turbo setup like you have described. With one of those turbos the vanes that direct the exhaust at the blades move and create higher velocity at lower rpm to get the turbo spooled up faster which, IMO, would be great for using a big turbo on a smaller engine. Not that I have a problem with your proposed setup mind you. I was just wondering if the idea has ever been put on the table and, if it was, why it was not used. For my own curiosity only. And like everyone else, I am waiting impatiently for this build to come to completion. This is going to be one awesome car.

We now have all the parts to build the first engine, and most of the parts to build the second engine.

I am trying but no one will send me pictures because "they are too busy working on my car"
I expect some over the course of the weekend and as soon as I get them, I will post them.

We never considered that route so nor was it suggested. Sorry.

I am pleading with JBP to snap some shots of the car and crankshaft tomorrow. I expect later in the day I should have them.
Also the engine builder is starting to assemble the engine tomorrow afternoon, after he goes and picks up the Vette he just bought.

He has been building engines for 30 years and he used to have a Vega that would smoke his Vette.

We should see some more of my car later tomorrow, or maybe just me crying again as I wait. It sucks being 3,000 miles away from my car.

Rod's car will decimate the vette. I smacked a vette (C5 convertible) on the highway this morning. I put 4+ car lengths on him from 60mph. When he finally caught up he gave me a thumbs up.

Glad to hear things are progressing Rod. I still think July is when it will be on the road
