Damn, I remember back when gas was less than $1 a gal. Those were the days...
Rod, I got a question. What are you going to do about the in'stra'ment'ation? I don't know if you have looked into it, but check out Dikota Digital. They can take your stock gauge panel and convert it to digital (in your choice of colors, bar, number, bar/number, etc). Plus you'll have a 255mph speedo and can get an rpm gauge that runs through whatever range you need.
Oh, other question. What rpm you guys plan to run up to?
(Thread Jack)
Paul, you get your ride fixed?

As for the RPM's we are only going for between 7200 - 7500. This is because the T-56 is not a happy camper shifting above this point unless I want to convert it into a dogbox, which I don't.

droll....dog box........ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh hhhhhhhhhh
drove a ITA scca car with one, then a STi with one...god what a dream.
rev that bitch rod, rpm=power honky!
with careful gear clearance work (any skilled trans shop can do that) and some kinda-sorta needed cryo work she'll take plenty more with out much complaining.
swap out for cone syncros and it'll be better yet.
any plasable EAT yet?

If you look at the build book dyno, you will see that they made 1200hp @ 7500rpm, which is where I am aiming.
If I get a tranny sponsor, perhaps I will change my way of thinking.

We are using all Autometer Cobalt gauges. Because there will be about 16 gauges, the desire is to keep them all the same style and lighting.

WHat is this 1200HP BS. I thought you were built for 1000 and aiming for 800HP or so to be a conservative build and over built? what happened.

man, just get a wide screen computer monitor and then you can change your gauge cluster any time you want by running HPTuners. then when your at a light you can read my emails, PM's etc, which I know is your favorite!

As for the 1200HP. We are over built and can easily handle over 1400hp at the crank. The 1200 is at the crank and 1,000 is at the wheels. I could increase the output just by changing the rpms but as you mentioned, I am not about running on the edge.

I talked to G-Force tranny shop and I was told that a dogbox was noisy and not very street friendly. I don't like the sounds of that combination.

street friendly....well, you just have to shift it high and on throttle, but if you do that....there plenty street friendly!

Now I wonder if your version of "street friendly" will be "police friendly???"

As I read this the picture of that attack helicopter in the rearview mirror came to find.
They decided to hold off until it comes back from the welders. It should be this weekend.

I am with you on that.
I was just talking with JBP and it should hed over to the welders early Friday and pictures of the finished product should still happen on the weekend.
We may get pics of the various components before hand, depending on the schedule.

Update Time
Okay another week has passed and there are some new pictures to post up. Nothing really earth shattering today, just steady progress and more spent money.
The one set of pictures that I still don't have are of the intake manifold/intercooler. This part is now in the hands of the welders and I am told they will be done in a day or so. Considering that I expect to have that series of pictures, early this coming week.
The work being worked on this week was the wiring, which has been moving along nicely. The left hand side of the car is wired and the right hand side is getting closer. I do not envy Jason, the JBP member who is doing the wiring.
We have some other goodies such as the oil cooler and the auto timer (turbo) as well as the K&N for the smaller turbo. I am not sure whether K&N makes a filter large enough to just clamp onto the larger turbo.
While there has been more work on the turbo plumbing, they are waiting for the intercooler to be finished to do the final routing on the cold side of the engine.
Anyways onto the latest pictures.
