That's gay. Adjustable dampening is one of the greatest advantages to coilovers for drag racing.

i lowered the back about a .25" and the front about .5". i like that drag stance.

slowswap, even though they are not dampening adjustable (hell i can buy a set of koni adjustables for that i guess) its WAAAAYYYY better than what came out. that and the front simply does no lift even halfway between soft and hard.

I'm not doubting the fact that it's way better but dampening adjustability will pretty much completely lock the rear end. I remember on RedSSNA's car, the dampening on stiff alone wouldn't let the rear end move on take off. Once we jacked up the springs on top of it, it just gripped and went.

The best thing you can do is jack the back way up. Harder for the car to transfer weight that way, but I'm sure you already knew that.

indeed i did. i have a pretty funny stance at the track. the height can only do so much though. the car was unloading bad in the front

Some lift is good for traction, if you think of Newton's third law. You want about a 1/4" of front end lift. Again you knew this.

I can't wait to see your times on this setup, although you're going to have to relearn launching.

meh, just clutch and rpm variations. shouldnt take too long. it cant, i have a huge bracket race this weekend lol.

pshhhh, i always go out with a higher RPM than i know i will need, i find it easier to adjust down than up

i know it wont make a whole lot of difference at our shitty hooking track here, but hopefully when i get out to tulsa or ennis i see some mid 1.8's and MAYBE a low 8.0 1/8. i would enjoy that in my DD "street" tire FWD car

A driver like you with a good set of "street" tires should do 1.8's all day. With some practice I could see you doing a low 1.8.

its done a 1.88 at ennis, but that was literally a perfect launch. most of the time at a good track its mid-low 1.9's. hopefully no mas
