What 02 sensor should I run ??

Hey guys I installed a new ZZP shorty header & a new Denso upstream 02 sensor. A few days after the install I got a cel for trouble code P0133. I'm being told that our cars don't like certain 02 sensors which could be the cause for this cel & trouble code. Even though I just dropped $50 on this Denso 02 sensor I would be willing to replace it with another brand if it means fixing the issue.

What 02 sensor would you guys recommend for my 05 cobalt SS/SC ? & do you think changing the brand of sensor will eliminate the problem ?

I already told you this..... Why go and make a thread?!

NTK made by NGK which is the factory replacement O2 sensor. You can purchase it at crate engine depot.

If you don't believe me about using the correct O2 sensor, do a search on the site, and you will see multiple threads where people had problems with Densos, and other aftermarket O2 sensors.

I had this exact issue on my car you're having when I installed a Denso O2 sensor. I only purchased the Denso because my local parts store didnt have NTK. That was a $70 mistake I'll never make again.

I asked for OEM upstream O2 sensor for 2006 Cobalt LS with L61 at Carquest and they ordered me in a Bosch sensor. Now that I have seen this thread I am worried that is not correct. Do you know was the NGK the OEM sensor on the 2006 L61 Cobalts?

It prob was, but I never messed with an L61, so I cant verify.

Ask Tom at crate engine depot to look up the correct part number and brand for you.

Your good staged in fact I ordered the NTK sensor today ! I did believe you & I do appreciate your advice which is why I dropped $40 on a NTK this morning however seeing that I just spent $60 on the Denso I just wanted to double check by getting a 2nd opinion prior to spending another $40 today on another sensor.

Thanks again for the advice man I hope this resolves the issue.

I think they discover threads through google searches and don't realize the thread is ancient.
