We had a poll about this once.

I usually get Mobil gas cause they are down the block.

call me crazy but I doubt there is a NOTICABLE difference in gas mileage based on which station you buy it from, some companies are even the same gas like Exxon/mobil

BP/Amoco all day all the way. 13.??? miles on my car, and not a drop of anything other than 93 Amoco, i even refused the free dealer fill up b/c they we going to fill up with gas from a no name gas station next to the dealer (87 octane) So nothing other the Amoco except gm put in it from the factory, and if they are like the Vettes it is still Amoco. I would run some sunoco 100 octane if i could find it at the pump.

I use Quiktrip because they are the highest volume retailer here in Tulsa where my folks live and carry the best quality gas in town. However in Stillwater where I go to college I use conoco because they have the newest pumps/stores and seem to do the highest volume. Not a very big selection where the college students are about 1/3 of the whole population

You guys actually buy gas by "brand" name? That seems very strange to me. I have never heard of anyone having problems with a "brand" of gas. I would be highly doubtful of anyone that told me they did. (Next they'd be telling me how their BOSE system produces the best sound quality of all systems.) I'd be willing to lay down cash that in a blind fill up test, no one would ever be able to tell the difference between brands.

My own qualification for buying gas is whether the station has a pay at the pump credit card slot. If they don't have that, I will get back in my car and go to the next station. Screw cash!
The second qualification would be how busy they are. I laugh at those that line up at the Wal-Mart pump to save 2 cents a gallon. My fiance is guilty of that and when I'm in the car with her I'll usually say something like "Let's just go to the one next door and I'll flip you a quarter." Waiting 10 minutes ain't worth a freakin' QUARTER! People buy a single gumball for a quarter!

another thing to think about, when you go the the pumps with only one hose, depending on the hose length, i would guesstimate there is atleast 1 gallon or so in the lines already so when you go to put super in it, you get a gallon of regular (or whatever the person in front of you filled up with) and then your gas.... then the person behind you gets a gallon of your super for a discounted price..

there should be a class action lawsuit against oil companies for that lol....or you could just do what i do and stop at pumps with a hose for each grade of fuel

I just started using Shell gas and that's all I'm going to be using from now on. I decided to start using it after a post on the Red Line board about Top Tier gasoline.

You can read about it here

The other reason is that I can get 5% off my gas purchase by using the Shell Mastercard.

I have never put anything other than BP/Amoco 93 in my performance cars .

For those who say there is no difference , ah but there is . Not all gas is created equal , different companies use different blends of gas , different additives ect ect , and typically , but not always the "cheap" gas places use fuel that will prematurely cause your fuel injectors to fail . Can you VARNISH
