What is a good air fuel ratio

I seen posts on this board where people are quoting air fuel ratios wrong. When you say air fuel ratio, the ratio is just that x amount of air to y amount of fuel. You will always have more air than fuel. For example 14:1 A/F ratio is 14 parts air to 1 part fuel. It just so happens to be a good ratio for idling and cruising under minimal load. Now let me give you some good examples of air fuel ratios for a force inducted car (turbo/supercharger/N2O)

14.7:1 is the target air fuel ratio while idling and cruising the car under little load.
20:1 is very lean mixture that you will see when deaccelerating like slowing down after a higher RPM.
12:1 is a good WOT (Wide Open Throttle) air fuel ratio.
Some people like to play it safe and run 11.5:1 under WOT. In a sense a richer A/F ratio can act like a chemical way to reduce ignition timing and there for reduce detonation/knock. A richer mixture will burn slower than a lean one. It will also burn cooler and therefore make less HP/TQ.

13.5:1 is a good A/F ratio for a naturally asperated car at WOT.

I have some experience with the A/F ratio's and actually 14:1 is stoic. This meaning perfect anything higher is lean. a 12:1 is good but on a supercharged car you can go a little higher and get more out of it because you do not have the spikes that the turbos have. 12:1 is great for a turbo but i think that you can push 13:1 on a supercharged car because the boost doesn't flux like a turbo so there is less room required for error. just my 2 cents

My car runs about 12 and spikes at around 4500-5000 upto like 20. it did it on all 3 dyno pulls. Is there anyway to check and see what is wrong there?

I prefer to run the car leaner in a low to no load situation to conserve on fuel. Many manufacturers are doing this.

It is probably around 6k that it goes lean. This is due to the factory pulling boost and fuel as torque management to save the tranny. You are now putting the boost back in there without the fuel.

I just picked up an AEM WB02 for $200.00 Shipped. It was used on two dyno pulls then the person went AEM EMS and wanted to sell it.
