Might just be my tach then, cuz I know for a fact that my car hits the limiter as it reads 6250.

When my car hit the rev limiter in 1st gear it just cut out, and it got to the rev limit very quick. The car just bogged down. Once I let up on the gas and took 2nd gear I was back up and running as normal.
