What spark plugs to get
OK so I'm lookin for a few opinions. Obviously I have a 2.0 LSJ and I'm getting a random P0300 code so I figure it's time to change the plugs (I'm at about 50K miles). I have a CAI and an exhaust for right now. In about a year I plan on going to a 2.7 pulley, 60# injectors, opt B, upgraded H/E, header and DP, and probably meth. I realize the plugs will be different for what I'm running now and what I'll be running in a year or so and I dunno why I even put all that in there LOL. Anyway, I live in Pittsburgh PA and I want something that will give good performance while being reliable in all temperature ranges. Thanks in advance for your input...

Seroiusly.. the stock plugs are techinically already one heat range colder.
They are NGK as well...
I use Autolite part # 3922... 1.78 a plug.

Yea as I said before I'm not looking for a Pep Boys special (should read I DON'T LIKE AUTOLITE PLUGS BECAUSE THEY ARE GARBAGE AND I'VE HAD PROBLEMS WITH THEM IN THE PAST). They carry the NGK's but they are special order and if I'm gonna order plugs I'd rather get them from a supporting vendor since I'm not a fan of Pep Boys.

I'm not looking for el cheapo plugs I don't care who they come from NAPA, Advance, Auto Zone, Pep Boys, whoever it doesn't matter a cheap $2 plug is just that a cheap plug. I'm not worried about the cost. I"m not a high school kid I can afford $10 a plug if it's a quality piece. catch my drift?

Wow I love people that think the more you pay for a plug the better they are omg look at these quadruple platinum plugs there the best and only 16.99 a plug! NGK 4644 is the new part number for one step cooler IDK on stock heat range though. A spark plug is a spark plug its not going to add horsies

Go ahead and buy the pulstar or the zex plugs... if you search youll pull up some threads about how good they are (i mean... about how they blew out their spark threading and had a piece fall down into the cyl and scratch some ****... but thats okay)
The guys running over 400 hp are running the NGK plugs. I run the autolites, and have been for a while now... Im also over 300 hp and using them and are doing wonderfully.
The NGK are the best plugs. OTTperformance or ZZP sell the ones you need.

stock heat range plugs in ngks are bkr6e's. i just bought a set of iridiums so we will see how well the do. also stock plugs are a double platinum tip. so i dont see why people but regular copper resistor plugs in.

I think the NGK part you're looking for is 6962 or something like that, BKR6E if you're a stock heat range.
