Who makes a better Cold Air Intake System (CAI) ?
I am interested in purchasing a CAI system for my SS/SC, and I wanted to get some opinions from people on which system they think to be the best.

Hey sneaky, how about you sneak your ass on out of here then. It was obvious by the title of the post, what the discussion would be about. If you are tired of reading/writing in them, then ignore it and don't enter it. It's not like the title of the post takes up 100% of the forum page, it takes up at most 0.5 %. Or is it that you feel compelled to put in your 2 cents in to every forum, because you like to think you are an expert, and you feel as though every one could benefit from what you have to say. Don't think so.

I'm just tired of hearing the same questions being asked over and over again. Won't you?

The poll reads that most people say No to K&M and AEM. Now the thing is that Fujita and Injen have the same exact technology and will probably give you the same HP. Now the trick is this, Fujita is out now for about 350, 308 if they still have the special going. Now Injen is not out yet however when it does come out it will be 225. Which is a great price for the technology and hp you will get. So if you are not in a hurry, Wait for the injen, if not order today the Fujita from Ray motorsports.

If the new Injen CAI for the Cobalt SS utilises their new MR tuning technology, it may be the better CAI for the SS. But it will achieve better gains with a reflash or with some air/fuel calibration.

The injen CAI does use the MR technology and dyno shows 17hp and 16tq

NOBODY HAS EVERY DIRECTLY COMPARED THE FUJITA AND THE K&N. Hence there isn't actualy data proving it gains more horsepower. It it the exact same design as the K&N, there isn't much to work with as far as following the stock intakes path.

Are all there pipes the same thickness? Is there anything that would make one better than the other? I mean I cut the stock filter box off the stock pipe under the sensor, slapped on a K&N filter and have a scream SC now. But, I am not going with this ghetto set up for ever, so I too am interested as to what freakin' company makes the better CAI. And WHY they are better ( pipe thickness, type of filter etc) . Also I asked this before and got no replies but, is there ever going to be a short ram air intake for the SS/SC ?

I believe the fujita has the biggest diameter tubing. It is also the hardest to install. i had to adjust brackets and curse several time for about 2 total hours. Others have had the same experience. It also pushed the wheel well line ouut towards the tire and unless you make a bracket to hold the liner up then it'll rub against the tire in a turn. Good luck.
