I have my car running on 87 octane right now....pulling 40mpg all around, 45mpg highway

HPtuners is such hot ****.

I have seen this car and personally its a beast... fastest in MO for sure.. maybe the midwest...

in the same way that people say you have to tune for higher octane,
the reverse is true.
to use lower octane, you merely have to tune for it.

major torque management,
maf table adjustments,
major timing reduction....

results are a 150whp winter car, that runs on the whiff of an oily rag

How much will you save? I did some figuring and going to 87 from 93 only saves me $30 a month if that.

nice man. so did u jsut cut the boost all the way down or something? and tune the A/f mix? and other stuff that i dont know much about. lol

It depends how much you drive.
I will put on about 12-14k miles this winter.
so running 94 octane at 34mpg, to running 87 octane at 40+mpg...translates to big $$


boost is limited heavily in first to reduce gas used during takeoff.
which helps ALOT. especially city driving.

the A/F tuning is a necessity due to the change in timing required to run the lower octane.
