Vince over at trifecta is trying to make a no lift shift option and a rpm launch option for our cobalts. Give him a little bit of time before you dive in on the wot box thing.

Last I heard he was doing pretty well. He is thinking about trying to make a knob on the dash that would allow you to change the rpm you could launch at which would be kick ass. I personally wouldn't use the no lift shift option, but a launch option would be kinda nice although I have no problem keeping it at 2k when I launch.

No you shouldn't have any problems with it. Just don't keep your foot into it to long.

Launching a car is never easy on the clutch but I doubt the wot box would make it any worse.

I had my cat on for about a month with my WOT box and had no problems, but I dont think thats really enoght time to do damage. If anything it will probably just destroy your cat if your on the 2 step too long

It's better on the clutch and tranny when your WOT shifting. IDK about launching, I'm sure it's not nice to it.

well like i said im barely ever going to use it. only when i hit up the track like twice a year. so that 1/4 mile should be fine with my cats and a wot box or not? but yeah id like to have the trifecta thing where its just right in the pcm of the car vs. adding a wot box. but idk thats why im asking peoples opinions.

you have to reflash the box every 2 months, or it freaks for some odd reason. staying on the 2 step to long will cause a p0300 code. wot shifting a lot will kill a cat.

Wot shifting could ALSO kill a cat??? Ive heard that launch control can kill it but wot shifting... how would this damage a cat in the long term?

Oh and by the way, Clear Image doesn't use a magnaflow cat and they say that it is not made in ceramic inside. Stainless steel I think... would this make a cat more durable with the wot box???

I think he means wot no lift shifting can kill a cat. I don't know why normal shifting at higher rpm's would kill a cat. I have a high flow cat and I have done a TON of high rpm shifts and my cat is still running correctly.

Yeah I think that too and this is exactly what I wanted to say... I should have said "wot no lift shifting"
