Yet ANOTHER Exhast Question Pls help me out

Hey guys I got a few questions that more or less involve you giving your opinions on this. I know that a lot of guys think $450 bucks for a full catback magnaflow exhast is a waiste when we already have pretty good stock exhausts. The only problem with our exhaust is the last 1/4 which goes from 2.5 to 2 1/4 and the stock muffer which ofcourse was designed with noise deadening in mind.

My question to you would it be cost effective to simply replace the last 1/4 of our exhaust with straight pipe, and get a universal magnaflow muffler. Now correct me if I am wrong but that might cost like 200 bucks with labour right now. So i would really like your feedback to see if I should just purchase the full catback exhaust or not.

I didnt plan on getting exhaust at all just intake + Gm Stage 2. Yet with the way things are going I honestly do not expect anything good from them any time soon, and frankly I would like to see dyno results from you guys before I purchased it .
