There's more than one way to increase displacement, but I believe it was mentioned it was "stroked". How bigs the helmet you wear at the track

^^ no no.. thats it not what im in here for... and no.. the question was not answered...
In this thread, i havent said anything about your motor to derail potential buys.. If you can find a post of mine where i had done such thing, please show me..
Trust me, Id be more than happy to spend over 3k on something just for the hell of it.... refer to my hahn level 5 kit... But id want to know what components are in it... Im not just gonna buy a motor because you said its a 2.3L and its used in a car that runs 11s...

But we didn't say it runs 11s, thus proving that you aren't actually reading what we post anyway. You won't convince me that you are genuinely interested in purchasing our motor and therefore would like us to openly expalain how we build it so that you can make an educated purchase. That simply is not true.

Don't shoot yourselves in the foot. Just because somebody wears a yellow plaid suit with pink slacks doesn't mean they aren't planning on buying a huge ticket item. Your statement is a classic example of terrible customer service. Even worse, it's there for the public to see.

So let me get this straight?
ZZP gives a hint of what they are developing for the FUTURE. The product isn't released yet but they are releasing "some" information about the future product to excite the community and "test" the waters.
And yet YOU ALL are pissed because at this moment you don't know exactly what parts are being used before the product is even released???
You can't expect a company to give away all it's hard earned and PAID FOR secrets, But you can atleast wait until the product is released and FOR SALE before you ask for more specifics on brand and type of components used! Maybe they havent decided yet!!!
With this type of thinking I'm going to E-mail GM and ask them exactly what motor and what components are used in the 2010 Cruze and then throw a fit like a little kid when they tell me just general specs!
Be patient and if you are truely interested in the motor I'm sure they will tell you what you need to know. But I'm also sure they won't tell you every secret and you shouldn't be pissed about that...
ZZP is making bigger power than almost anyone else with the LSJ AND is making the parts available to the public. What more do you want? They fix it when something goes wrong and tell you as much as you need to know without giving away the hard earned secrets. A good sales person isn't always going to be polite when everyone is trying to steal there product design!!!
No company is perfect, as no person is perfect...

given that MOST displacements are rounded figures, theres many ways to make a 2.3l ecotec with the stock bore. a LE5 crankshaft would do the trick, as would a 99.8mm stroked crankshaft, as sharkey said. Then there's how this 3.9" stroke came to be, wheher it be a custom forging ordered from eagle, possibly from a different distributor, or maybe they're offset grinding the LE5 crank as sharkey said was possible. These are things us peoples want to know...though i doubt they are making a stroker kit for the L61, so it doesn't quite apply to me (though ZZP, if you do plan on releasing one, feel free to use me as a test car!)

if my time getting a worthless education in high school has taught me anything i believe this is where you said "buy an engine from us", hell anyone who can read and remember how many hits of the pipe they took can clearly see that... and yes my choice of vendor is ZZP because you guys tend to have better deals on things, but i have sent back numerous things to be replaced, now mind me the items i received in return were of much better quality. love the fact that your building a 2.3 stroker but in all honesty there's really nothing secretive about building a stroker motor, half of the specs you need to know are already posted on their website its just up to you of how you want to build it. until then honestly i see this as nothing more than a quarrel between a company that is clearly gaining respect slowly but surely and someone who just has no patience to wait and find out... but i have to agree with zoomer about the fact that if you want to build a 2.3 then your either going to have to get educated on how to do it or just wait until theirs is released and order it over the phone because then i'm sure that they won't have a problem telling you what parts their using but they probably won't tell you the specs such as bore size, rod journal size, main journal size, camshaft profile etc. and if the crank does snap such as the ONE example that was provided then it will definitely change peoples minds but until then just dismiss about everything that was said as bull ****... but i don't mean to break up the argument, i'm curious as to see how this plays out

You know whats funny? I didnt even bother to look at the last page of this thread, and me and djp have the same idea...
Anywho, all i did was ask a few questions... and you guys didnt answer them...
Since zoomer couldnt find any posts in this thread about me "knocking" zzp.. will you guys just finally understand that all you had to say was "We arent sure yet"... other than what was quoted above...
Now maybe you guys get why i kept saying "buy one first"...

I thought you were referring to Zoom, not Ryan. I see where that came from and I edited my post.
Shortstack- you knock ZZP on a regular basis. We are not going to take you seriously when you come into a thread and ask questions.

I have asked a few times to show me where in this thread i have bashed you guys, and no one has yet to do it... so may you please refrain from saying i am "bashing"...
