haven't seen tq numbers yet, just hp numbers. What's the tq look like with that bottom end?

that's what I'm thinking. I'm curious if they are over the tq I was making.

Torque is around 290, but I imagine it would be higher if the cams weren't so big.

the sad side of big cams on a small cid engine. ruins the fun down low

hmmm, 290 isn't bad, but I kind of expected more with the displacement. What's the tq curve look like on the dyno plot? Peaky, or flat?

I don't think any blower car on the boards has made that much torque. Not even TVS guys. I could be wrong, but none I've seen.
I believe Area has the highest blower dyno with a TVS. Here's his post:
dyno tune. ***** out
342/267

Tim's ratio is 82% of the HP # is achieved in torque #'s. that is right in line with M62 and TVS guys. Considering this car has cams, I'd say that's pretty good. I'm guessing that when the build and tune are completed he'll be around 300ft/lbs.

there has been a handful of us who have gone over the 290-300ftlb line. usually takes us small pulley's to do it

I am real curious about this stroker setup you guys have. Can you please give us some more details? It says it's based off the LNF 2.0 block. Sleeved, bored over, and what else?

This makes me happy to own an LSJ. I wonder what the price of this engine will be.

I had 282 ft-lbs on my dyno. 318/282 were my numbers. Blew my spark out at 6.8k so hp plateau'd

winna!

it's way more fun to hit 18-20psi at 3k, than 10psi at the same rpm

I'd really like to know what cam specs you guys are using. Have you thrown the stock cams back in just to see what the difference is? I got this weird feeling that the stock cams would make a bit more tq, and not really kill the hp too much.

Bump for more info on the 2.3L stoker setup please. I am working on something at the moment and would love the information on how to achieve 2.3L of greatness!

2.4 crank makes 2.277l. with a stock 2.2/20 bore. That's my guess. Gotta fab up a little in a machine shop (the crank reluctor or w/e its called?)

The reluctor rings on the newer Ecotec's are the same from what I've been reading. This still leaves the flywheel 6 bolt on the 2.4 crank and 8 bolt on the 2.0 crank issue there though. Custom flywheel or rocking a complete 2.4L clutch kit is most likely the answer here. I would just like to know exactly what was done, so there is nothing to question halfway into it.

just use a built 2.4 bottom end.

Sleeve it, forged rods and pistons, and slap a lsj head on it.

Well considering I have a zero mile LSJ longblock in my hands as my blank canvas, the 2.4L is out of the question.

Anyone know if the 2.4L clutch/flywheel will run into any issues with the F35 tranny?

okay, sleeve your lsj block, bore it out to 90mm, slap a 2.4 crank in it. Your going to need new forged rods and pistons regardless.

Yes, I understand I will need new rods and pistons, but that doesn't answer the clutch/flywheel question I was asking about. Your idea would create a 2.5L motor by the way.

I think I have conjured up a different idea, so we'll see what happens in the future.
