ZZP Mid-Length Header/Down Pipe Combo

I was just wondering who has one and how they like it. I like the idea that you have options and can kind of customize it to your needs.

Mine is the same, except i got a 2.5" d/p, welded in.
i love it... but my high flow cat has clogged. if your tune is a little on the rich side.. i suggest cat-less

the power increase is basically throughout the rpm range... 2nd gear pulls much harder

i noticed i lost a little bit of power at the very bottom of third, but it is quickly made up for above 4500rpm...

how was the fitment of the header/dp combo? I am thinking about ordering one of these and I want to make sure that I wont spend $500 and have issues...

Also, how hard was it to get the manifold off? possible to do install without lift?

you'll need a jack and jackstands at a minimum to remove & install the parts

I've done about a half-dozen header installs and its actually really easy. Takes about an hour, maybe a little longer.

the fitment of both pieces was excellent... i had no problems at all

i did the install in my garage with 2 jackstands a jack and a friend.

the manifold is not hard to take off if you take your time... some of the bolts are in tight places but i was able to take them all off with basic hand tools.

check the how-to section there is a very good write up for the install of a pacesetter header; the install is almost exactly the same.

the whole install for the header and dp probably took an hour and ten minutes

Reviving an old thread....

Will the ZZP combo header/downpipe bolt up to the GMPP sport exhaust? I was thinking of getting the 2.5 bolt up option, but I wasnt sure if the 2.25" gmpp would bolt up without problems...
Also, do you need extra gaskets to do the install, or does it come with them? Can you reuse the gaskets that are already there?

another thing also,
what are the advantages/ disadvantages of the bigger primarys and the 3in downpipe if i have a 2.5 in magnaflow?
wouldnt you want to keep it all the same diameter?

also does anyone have a dyno or a real accurate feel about power gains/losses?
im really afraid to lose anything down low, cause i love that.

thanks

Exactly what you need. Had one but went with a weapon R LT instead. Best bang for the buck header on the market for us.

Def. get the bigger primaries if ur supercharged, and u r, so u have to get that. I wouldnt get a 3in. just get the 2.5.

There is no power loss newhere, its smoother and faster everywhere
