Unless you`re shooting for 400whp+ you won`t need them anyways. GM made the LSJ half right.. Forged rods but no forged pistons from factory.

yeah those are what i'm ordering as soon as i get back from vacation next month, they look like eagles, probably form the same manf. since eagle said earlier this year they were tooling up to release them. I would expect to see the eagles out shortly as well.

No economy car will have forged pistons from the factory. In fact, almost any mass produced car won't have forged pistons from factory. It's a reliability and maintenance issue.

$499 isn't a bad price for some rods, I'd get em' just to be safe, anything aftermarket is better then stock so go for it

The only thing that will kill ya is probably gonna be install

All our cars bend or break them before hitting 500WHP. LNF and LSJ. It's just that not many cars are making that kind of HP. ZZP is trying to change that.

Cobalt & Ion ---> ZZ Performance

The rods are actually $449

no the car wouldent be useless with 500hp just need to set it up for it ryan drives his with 609hp on the street but the other plus side is if they are lighter then stock then it would be a usefull part to have less rotating weight is more power and it will gain rpm alot quicker so they would be worth it

Nope. We've bent rods in 3 motors that were high 400 WHP. In an LE5 turbo'd we bent them at ~350WHP.

It was a couple psi higher than we dyno'd 356, so possibly 375-380whp.
