Go figure, i go to the machine shop and have a $40 washer made. Get home and pull the cores out to inspect/clean/grease the Orings and clean out as much coolant as i can out of the IM and walla, there is my missing washer inside one of the paths in the IM. So i guess i left the bottom Oring in the IM and slid the core in with the washers on it and one must have fell of without me knowing. great news regardless. Im gonna make a necklace outta this damn machined washer. HAHA

OK, so got everything put back together and followed Ps and Qs the whole way. Starts up fine, any throttle at standing still= tons of white smoke. gets worse with more and more throttle pops. Dies after taking it 4k. codes- P0122(throttle position sensor),P0172(rich), P0223(throttle position sensor high voltage),P1183(S/C inlet sensor low voltage),P2228(barametric pressure sensor low voltage) Any ideas guys. i checked all my harnesses 3 times.

sounds like some wires got pinched or you have some bad parts.
if the tb is plugged in correctly it is bad, i had the same issue with the same codes, which will be half of the problem probably.
i hope you changed your spark plugs after getting coolant all over them and did an oil change.

i didnt change the plugs because they looked fine( i pulled them to see) Why would i need to change to oil? i dont see how coolant can get to the oil. am i missing something?

coincidence, i just looked at my dtcs from when i had the bad tb and i was wrong they were diff p0#'s but i would still say that's the culprit. you could try to pull the tb connector off and put it back on just to make sure, and clear the codes see which come back. lsj tb is cheap if it is bad though if you were closer i'd let you use my tb to find out .

where and what is the skip sensor? If its the sensor on the head just right of the fuel rail/injector #1 the wire is not long enough for them to be swapped.

Curious to see what happens. I would def do an oil change and check for coolant. Also if you havent already clean the tb really good before you rule on it being bad. Finally, did you get new gaskets? If not maybe one of the gaskets is leaking and coolant is making it in through the intake mani that way, or a bad lama core. All else aside good luck.

I did clean the TB good before reinstalling, did not get a new endplate gasket. as far as i can tell the only gasket that could allow coolant would be the endplate gasket. im gonna pull it apart again today and do an oil change and plugs, if there is coolant in the IM then i might buy a new/used one with a new gasket cause it could be a core too so i wanna rule out all the possibilities in the IM. thanks for the GL.

I had to look at an old picture to figure out which plug was which on my car..lol..

I feel your pain OP.. I managed to do the exact same thing on my intake, and I was just taking the cores out to clean them while i had the intake off. The steam was so dense when i rolled on the gas, you couldn't see through it..lol..

Kinda same thing for me. but tons of white smoke when it warms up. I gotta dig into the oil and the IM to see if coolant is still gettin where its not supposed to. But the new codes are stumping me
