ZZPerformance Engine Mount

So my engine mount came in yesterday and got installed today. Install took maybe 20 minutes. Supported the passenger side of the engine with a engine hoist, unbolted the engine from the mount then the mount from the frame. Then put it all back together.

Impressions so far from a short, spirited, drive are that the shifting is much firmer and the car accelerates more smoothly. As for the pressing question of wheel hop....well it still happens. Its def not worse than before. The vibrations are minimal as well.

Overall i am very happy with the mount simply for the better shifts and smoother acceleration.

I have the torque brace from weapon-r on its way and we will see how it adds vibration and works with the motor mount.

It does not look any different than the stock mount. The only way to tell a difference between the two mounts would be to push on the black part of the mount.

Here are some pics I took of mine

I didn't do pics cause as MaxBoost's show it looks identical to stock. Mine has the GM part number still stamped on it. I think ZZP simply takes stock mounts and replaces the internal part with solid urethane. You can depress the stock mount with your fingers but not the ZZP mount.

If you have the time and have purchased this mount, please go to the page on ZZPerformance and write a small review. It will help with others trying to get feedback on the product.

I tried posting my review but it is not showing up on your website. I tried a few different times but none worked.

Here is my review if you want to post it.
"Great product, would recommend to all Red Line/SS owners.

The install was very simple. Only took about 10 mins. I used a floor jack with a 2x4 to support the engine during install. There are 3 bolts and 2 nuts that you have to remove. It's that's it.

I just got back from a ride. I dropped the clutch to do a burn out and I got a very small amount of wheel hop at the begining for less than a second and then it settled right down and just smoked the tires. Eventhough there was a little wheel hop it is no where near what I had before. Before if I did the same thing the whole car felt like it was going to fall apart.

I did notice a little more cabin noise but that was only when I was cruisin in 2nd gear at about 4000 rpms.

Also my shifts felt more firm, I guess becuase of the reduced engine movement."

They also have a front engine mount. I plan on going with both in the summer. Although the side one would help when thinking about egine lash it wouldn't help as much as the front one. Using both should reduce wheel hop.
