I <3 it
So I probably should have posted this last night, but everything is together...go to tune, everything is going fine until the car freaking dies. Battery completely dead. So we hook it up to a charger for a while, try again, won't connect to the car. Finnaly get it to connect and it goes to 100% then I get the same error message I got after the car died the first time. So now nothing turns on. The car wont do anything, says low fuel (prob cause it actually is low) and power steering on the dic.
I let the battery charger on over night, gonna redownload the tune and try again this morning...hopefully it works then...idk.

you my have to do a security relearn. its a PITA but heres the instructions VIA zzp
so if all else fails do this
so if all else fails do this
How do I perform a security relearn?
*1.*Disconnect battery
*2. Install new computer
*3. Reconnect battery
*4. Put emergency brake on to disable daytime running lights (this step is required!)
*5. Make sure all doors trunk and hood are closed leave driver window down and reach in threw window
*6. Try to start. If it doesn't start, leave the key in the on position for 10 min on 97-03 cars and 15 min for 04 and newer cars. The security light should turn*off after this amount*of time.
*7. Turn off ignition for 3 seconds
*8. Try and start*the car. It probably won't start. Repeat step 5 two more times.
*9. If this doesn't work disconnect battery*for 5 seconds and then try and start the car.
*
If that doesn’t work, try this one:
*
1. Disconnect battery for 10 sec.
2. Reconnect battery
3. Turn key to ON position
4. Do not try to start vehicle, just quickly click to RUN position to engage security light
5. Let vehicle sit with key ON for 35 min.
6. Attempt to crank vehicle. Once vehicle is running, the security light may still be on
7. If security light is still on, turn key to OFF position for 5 sec.
8. Turn key to ON position and security light should turn off
9. Start vehicle and enjoy new PCM
Notes: If your car starts at any time and stays running, you are done. If your car starts and dies, try step 9. If it dies after 2 seconds after you have done these steps, you either have a bad FP resistor or the security setting in your PCM is wrong and it will need an update. Security relearn procedure will not work with the valet key!

are you using red cable?
is that a invalid file you get as a error message
you ll have to send TPL file to vince to analyse it. it should be around 105 Ko.
he ll update his ezfash software then you ll be able to install your file. it can be take a long time but it ll be fix

my security light isn't on?
it won't even connect to the car, i get a message that says "unable to connect with the vehicle - please check the cabling and verify the ignition switch is on, but engine is not running." this is the error i've gotten a couple times. It only connected to the car twice, got to 100% and then gave me the invalid tune error or whatever. i've been talking with the trifecta dealer i went through and e-mailed him the TPL files and a screen shot of when it says unable to connect to the car, so we'll see...i'm not sure whether i need to send those files to vince or if he's planning on doing it. i'm waiting on a reply from him...

i ran into this same issue. you have to do it in the correct order.
1. turn your key to the on position
2. plug cable into car
3. plug cable into laptop
4. open ezflash
i had to do this every time i uploaded my tune/datalogged.

you should send it yourself to vince and buy a black cable. you ll have TFT and you will not have to depend your dealer. if vince knew you were in trouble i m pretty sure he would fix that saturday even today.

TFT? i bought the red cable...
i read a thread on here and was told over at gmsc that if my car battery did die partially through the tune, i either need A) a new pcm, B) to take mine to the dealer to have it fixed and/or C) hope that Vince can fix it...i'm really hoping for C and am kicking myself in the ass because i wanted to put the battery charger on my car friday morning so it would have charged all day, but forgot before i went to work

tried this...
damn it...if I would have known vince would have done something on a saturday, i would have went straight to him...when all this happened it was late friday night and i just figured he wouldnt do anything until at least today so i just figured i'd work with the dealer until then...but all the TPL files and screen shots got sent to vince so hopefully i'll hear back from him today, then...

i prefer the black one that i call the gondor cable.
A) FALSE
b) False
c) true that the way it ll happen
you could unplug your PCM ECM fuse for few minutes.
i did over 62 customer with the gondor cable and no issue what so ever
but in 2012, the avg. to install is 3 hours by using mordor one.
always use a good batt because reflashing need more energie that you thing
you could jump your car with a other one.

i can believe that. When we tuned the bf's we borrowed the black box one from a friend and it went smooth as pie, loaded right on. Mine did not.
and i will definately make sure i have a good battery now...lesson learned lol

i do have to say though, regardless of what some people may say, through my dealings with vince (both tuning the bf's and now with my car), he's been on top of it with e-mailing me back and such so far which i'm super happy about
