07 LT Turbo Build Thread
Ok so now the build should officially be on its way hopefully very soon. I want to give a big thanks to BIGDAVE b/c I got his complete turbo kit.
I should hopefully be getting it by the end of this week.
The only things I still need to order are boost gauge and boost controller.
I will be doing a custom catback more than likely all 2.5"
Kit includes
intercooler piping (2.25")
cuplers & clamps
Intercooler
Long tube header
Mitsubishi Turbo t25 (external wastgate set at 5 psi)
intake
custom down pipe w/ highflow cat
all vac and oil lines
42 lb injectors w/ harness
hks blow off valve.
Greddy Type RS blow off valve
Turbo Smart Boost Controller
Cobalt Series Boost Gauge
Thanks to DeadZen got my Innovate Motorsports LC1 wideband
Thanks to Mike25 got my Cobalt Series Boost Gauge
And will be Trifecta tuned.
I will keep everyone posted as time goes on. Wanted to start the thread now to spark up any interest or ?'s.
I want to run around 7-9 psi.

Well I have been looking into 42 lb'ers and my one buddy around the area has stage 2 but never installed it and wants to trade me the 42's for the 60's.
I am more than likely going to work something out with him.

The engine will put out the same no matter what manifold you have on it. A mid length will give you less exhaust turbulance as it's less restrictive than a log mani and will spool faster (not that the T-25 will have lag). I wonder how much power the Garrett T-25 on a 2.2 will make with 5 lbs, on a GST (4G63T) it makes a little over ~165whp/175ft-lbs on 12psi (Yes, there are other variables besides the boost level, just saying).

looks good, you know where to get water and oil right? get water from the heater hose in the back of the engine, and oil from the block gallery plug, return oil in pan or in dimple, and tee off the return line on the stock resevoir, the one that goes ontop by the valve cover and into the tank, good luck with the kit

The kit was previously used and all fitted. From BigDave on his 2.2

I was just trying to shed some insight. Like I mentioned there are other variables like compression ratio and whatnot.
When do you plan on having it running?

Looks good.
Regardless of what anyone else says, I guarantee you those injectors are too big. 42's will be better fit.
I feel like everyone is getting their **** but me! Still got 2 weeks on my order from vulcan.

I am thinking in about a month. Since I go to school this monday I will need to do random things like get everything ready and prepared for install. Do you have any idea where I can get a te04h turbo gasket for the flange to header
