2.2 with 2.4 head

jw if anyone has tried to do a 2.2 block with a 2.4 head.. would it work?? If it would wouldn't it have more power than a ls vtec motor on a honda?? thoughts.....

you wou;d have to change the harness and ECU with it..but the head would bolt up..

chevys are not like honda's. we cant lego a bunch of pieces together. lol. you could do it but it would be so much work it would be pointless.

what are you talking about? the ecotecs are one of the most interchangeable motors out there.

are you saying that if you swap one honda head onto another block, you don't have to change anything?!?

i didnt mean it that way. i just mean honda's are a lot less work if you were to do something like that

Question why would you do this? Wouldn't you just build the head you have and spend the same amount of money?

2.2 ECu can't control VVT so you are screwed. Don't try it, not worth it at all.

This is an old topic. Please try a search to find a lot of information on this. To answer your question, no, you can not put an LE5 head on an L61. You can put an LSJ head on an L61 if you wanted to. That information is covered in the Build Books.
