i should be making around 200 hp soon with my motor. I have a magnaflow exhaust, injen cold air intake, ss injectors (waiting for a tune for the 07), purchasing the 2.4 ss intake manifold swap and a header and i should be around 200 with a good tune.

hate to break it to you but spray does not make it "all motor"

check out this thread, this combo really opens up the motor:

200hp 2.2?

I doubt it... but what do I know.

Sink the 10 grand it will take to do it in the car, and let us know how it goes.

I'd say half that figure

remember you need like 75 more WHP to reach the magical 200

Full Exhuast - 10
Intake - 5
2.4L Intake Manifold - 15
Aggresive Cams - 15
Port and Polish
bigger injectors
Tune

Man it sounding pretty tough. Maybe for the money just go F/I and call it a day. Or get on the bottle and have fun. Remember just because you are all motor doesn't let you win races so why not just say screw it and get something more aggressive. I'd say do some supporting mods and go with some spray or F/I and you would be much happier and less broke.

for the price u would go allmotor u could do a turbo kit and have the same power if not more.....

if u done it right u would need injectors,2.4 intake mani swap,ported/polished head,cams,intake,header,exhaust,11:5.1 CR pistons instead of the 10 cr...then u would need a good tune for this to make it worth it ::and other little things here and there::....turbokit is only 3500 so i would just spend the money on it....

well, if all motor is your thing go for it. I'm sure if the Honda guys can do it, you can figure a way to do it too. should't be much difference of a process. they gotta swap EVERYTHING to get anywhere and you may too.

Unless you have a serious hookup on machining equipment... forced induction will be ALOT cheaper.

Anything's possible... just depends on how much time and money you wanna throw down on it.

I'm with everybody else on this. You could eventually claw your way to 200 WHP on an all motor 2.2l Ecotec, but by the time you were finished, I don't think you'd have a handful of original parts and no handful of money.

over on j-body forums there is a guy making the alt pulley and soon a crank pulley. That will help a little. I just ordered the alt pulley, Since I am also working on an all motor build. Plus if you have a 5 spd. A lightwieght flywheel will help get more power to the wheels. I think a 200 whp all motor is more feesable then everyone thinks.

$10K is a bold faced lie. You can definitely do it with a more reasonable amount of money.

For most of us, the idea of forced induction is something to do after we've built the rest of our motors as much as we think is necessary or productive. We want to make as much power as possible before we add forced induction to the motor.
