2.2 dynos and times

I did a search in this section but feel a new thread would get more info.

If any of you 2.2 guys have dyno sheets, please post them up along with your setup.

I also didn't find many decent 2.2 1/4 mile times. There weren't many in the 15's, most were mid to high 16's. Is there nobody on this site with a 2.2 in at least the high 14's?

Thanks guys, just curious and need these to compare something.

EDIT: Actually, I'm more interested in the times than the dyno info, thanks.

The only 2.2Ls that are in the 14's I believe are using nitrous.

There are a few Aleros in the low low 15's with the Ecotec with bolt ons and weight reduction also.

I have a weight reduction , plus an injen intake. I have a drag day coming up the 22nd woot. Hopefully I can land something to make me happy . The suspension has also helped at launching and shifting due to not diving forward so much lol

Yeah, that's what I figured to see. Didn't know that about the Alero's though, pretty cool to hear it.

I really need to get my exhaust side finished up and head back to break deep into 13's. Then again I just got the damn thing back from being hit by a drunk driver so everything is somewhat on hold.

tire pressure isn't going to help unless the car is actually getting wheelspin. you said it's an auto so I'd doubt this is the case

My Alero bone stock ran a 15.72 at 90 MPH.

I got intake, headers and better tires and I cracked off a 15.01 at 91 MPH

nice! drop a duece before the track and you'd have broke 14.99 haha

have you driven you cobalt yet at the strip? I'm curious as to whether launching is as much of a bastard as it is with the Ions. if my pedaling was better I would have broke 13's my first night with my setup.

I have the 2.2 auto, and the tires do spin... especially if it's a little wet, can spin the tires a lot

I ran a 14.49 at 96MPH on the bottle that night

My cobalt is auto (where-as my Alero was 5 spd.) So the best I've gotten from her stock was 16.5 at 88 MPH.

well then my apologies, most auto cars I've driven all hooked up fine on a launch so it wasn't really an issue. yeah I"m sure if it's wet you can spin the tires, that's a given for about any car.

sweet dude, sounds like your Alero is similar to my car after all

that's not bad for a stock auto time IMO, nice trap on that time too.

oh I've got a few bolt-ons

http://www.sixthsphere.com/forum2/ga...vehicle&CID=12

the engine bay shots are from right before Nopinationals last year, it's since then received an "OEM conversion" to hide some things.

the timeslip I have in the display is from the first night of testing the setup. I've since worked out some bugs, just haven't made it back to the track enough to practice and cut better times.

Nice times man. You have a lot of mods to that ride. Looks good.

Too bad my Alero is gone(and the obvious distance), otherwise I'd say we should have a run.

nope, 75 (hence all the wheelspin), but still stuck with the stock 2.2 exhaust manifold which is a huge restriction as I'm sure you guys know. working on a solution to that now, but like I said I just was in an accident and got the car back so it's on hold.

my 60' times are horrendous, I should be down to at least 2.20 on street tires. she wants to go 13's, I ust need to drive her to it
