2.2 ecotec in the uk
#26
nice car, the 2.2s are pretty well built from the factory, rods and pistons are all that are needed for 350WHP, if you PM me your Email address I can send you the ecotec build book for a complete list of what you will need in the future. A head (or get yours ported/polished) would set off all those CFM you're flowing, same with the TB and SC.

yeah i already have a ported to the max head, all that is missing is double valve springs
yeah they are know longer produced due to vauxhall losing money on everyone they sold. They where so competitively priced against the lotus elise s2 that it sort of was silly not to buy a lotus!
plus there can be pertty bad paint defects that resulted in vauxhall paying for nwe front and rear clams which made them lose out heavily! luckily mine doesnt have any defects and has had the respray before, so fingers crossed i should be in the clear

I missed running on the nurburgring when I was in Germany, didn't realize it was a public accessible road, I only had a ford sierra 2.0 sapphire manual, but 140MPH on the nurburgring is 140MPH on the nurburgring.

Nice car, looks good, and looks fun. I would say you could go the twin charged route but I don't know if you would have the room. We will see if these twin charged cars do what they are saying this year.

twin charged?
super and turbo charged?
a harrop on my spec engine should give about 360ish maybe more with a smaller pulley. then if you add a turbo charger on that it will be a hell of a trip to heaven
never done a turbo conversion so wouldnt know where to start. they do a turbo conversion pack over here but you are looking at 4kish an you might aswell just drop a z20let or saab 2.0 turbo engine in it, will be much cheaper.
however i stole one of your superchargers from someone in the states
as it is just literally bolt on, its rude not to supercharge really!

That's a sweet ride man, too bad they never sent em over here. This is the stuff that makes me want to move over there.
What ECU does that thing have? Doesn't look like the same as any of the Cobalt ones I've seen. Could it be a cav ECU? Or I could be way off and Vauxhall made their own ECUs.
Well I was bored and checked out the Wiki and found out that you're running the Getrag trans and the L61 engine, nice combo if you ask me. Q is though, which ECU? Cause the L61 has been used since 2002 here in the states, and since 2001 in Opel, Vauxhall, and Holden vehicles.

I think a 2.7" with out a machined snout and with a machined snout it is a 2.5". As far as hp goes I am not sure, the biggest improvement I have seen is in TQ, but I only dropped down to a 2.85". With the set up I had(gm stg 2) I dynod 5 more hp and 13 more tq with the 2.85". I didn't what to push the stg 2 42ibs injectors in further than that.
