anything is better that wht the l61 comes with. i kno.

its not a header. its the manifold off the LSJ thts just smoothed out a bit IIRC. prob 1-2 HP. pretty good mod.

but, i would get a proper header.

dont waste your money you'll be dissapointed. your better of getting the dremel out and taking a few hours to port what you have, thats what i did, but i would seriously buy a real header.

no, you won't feel any power. will be a little louder though. I would recommend a different one, i have zzp's and love it. vibrant is a quality made piece, but i think their setup sounds like ass.

I have it on my ss/sc and i felt a slight increase in power. Sound changed a bit too. On a stock car you prob wont feel it, but if you have an intake or other mods it will help free up some poneys. Someone on here dynoed 4 hp and 6 lb/ft torque with the gmpp extrude honed manifold on an ss/sc.

If you're an 07+ 2.2, you already have the same header as the ss/sc, so I'll doubt you'll feel a difference. If you don't have SAI, just go aftermarket.

2 things. dyno's mean NOTHING. they are too inacurate to measure gains of a few horsepower.

also, you absolutely did not feel a power increase. if you can accurately judge a hp gain of about 1-2 hp, then you have the most sensitive butt dyno ever. it's probably just in your head. no one can tell the difference between 220 and 221 or 222 whp.

https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/showt...?t=9926&page=2

just got back after a few pulls on the dyno. I installed the GMPP extruded/honed exhaust manifold. I got 228.4hp and 201tq. Just in line with what I thought. I gained 4hp and 6tq. (PAGE 2)

heres what someone dynoed with the gmpp extrude honed exhaust manifold .... people that are strictly header nut swingers say the manifold doesnt help .... well it deff helps a bit ... maybe not as much as headers but there is still a gain ....

you can get a 4hp gain between runs, with no mods done. fact of the matter is, and the point is, that a dyno is too inacurate to measure a 4hp gain.

let me ask you this since you know sooo much .... have you ever had the gmpp exhaust manifold on your car ?? also if a dyno cant read 4 hp where are you getting this 1 - 2 hp number you're giving out for the gmpp manifold ?? if you dont believe the results people are getting for the manifold on dynos .... dont go out there and give bull sh*t numbers of your own, because you don't think the manifold increases power .....

I don't claim to know sooo much, i just know that the gmpp manifold is a waste of money. don't know about now, but it used to even be more expensive than the bette rparts that would actually give gains.

never had it on my car, but i've done enough installs on other people's cars that i know enough about them to say the things I say. many of the local members (and some that are not too local) come to me for help with their installs. there are #'s released by gm proving that they increase airflor minimally. look them up and see for yourself. plus i've driven in cars with eveyr kind of header/dp/exhaust combos you can think up.

1-2 hp is a guess. i'd be shocked if it was really more than 3.
