was the install worth it?
i have the intake manifold sittin in my room but i am in school now so i do not have time to do anything except study and party on weekends
should i go ahead and do the install will it make my 2.2 auto any faster cause i just installed my ss/sc dp and now my 2.2 is kinda quick i also have the ss/sc manifold and the ss/sc springs to be put on also

This again?

I must say, even though I didn't get the results everyone else seemed to get, I did enjoy working on the car.

You will need the TB adapter plate that CED makes for it. And here's a thought. If it's just sitting there, you should paint it first before you install it. I have seen silver and red, and both looked a lot better then just the black plastic.

Just don't let the "seat of your pants" dyno trick you like it did to me.

Hopefully you get decent weather for the dyno; cool air is your friend.

Good luck!

You'll definately be close to 150, especially if you add a header to the mix.

And yes, the kit comes with the adaptor plate.

from what i understand, it's a pretty good "bang for the buck" add on. don't expect any bolt on to add huge power on a modern car.

I still have it. I may try to sell it to someone local. (If they still want it after I show them my dyno sheet) Or I may keep it in case a turbo is in my car's future.

It ruined my torque curve which didn't happen to other people.

Comparison between Before/After manifold:

I gained 9whp up top, but the torque was lower through most of the rest of the band.

I installed my 2.4 intake manifold last week. At first I didnt think it made that much difference. You can definently feel the loss of power at low RPMs. To me it doesnt FEEL faster, the same interstate onramp I get on every day, I can now go about 5mph faster by the end of it. So I guess it does work :-)

The biggest diff is the 07 has the SS/SC "shaped" exhaust manifold and breathes better at the top than the 05-06's with the more restrictive one. More air in means more air has to go out.

From someone elses gallery but none the less for refrence.
05-06 LS vs. 07 LS (pictures is an ss/sc but the diff being the 07 LS has the 02 port not drilled and tapped) and im lazy this late at night

But thats exactly how mine is, Feels much more fun to drive.

that is very do-able. i asume if the 2.4 bolts up to the 2.2 then it will work the other way around. i dont think anyone has tried it because what 2.4 owner is looking for down grades. hell if there is one ill sell em my old 2.2 intake mani

BoBB just add intake and exhaust along with this and you will pretty much be the same speed as her.
