yep

back in the day there used to be a cop with a confiscated camaro that was stupid quick (haha that probably shows how long it's been since I've been there) but even he wasn't out all that often. that road is plenty of room though. then again, people like myself hypsy and njhk can hit their "limiter" in much less than all that road, I'd say 1/2 to 1 mile or so.

iLLmaTic you're in huntington right? I used to live in west islip right off of montauk and robert moses.

the top speeds of the base cobalt and the ss are different. the reason being is air resistance. it is a force acting against you, and to overcome this force you need power. seeing as how the 2.2 has 145 hp and the 2.0 has 205, the 2.2 is missing about 60 hp that the 2.0 uses to overcome air resistance at those speeds. therefore in theory it is impossible and improbable that a coablt ls would have the same top speed as a cobalt ss/sc.

now some one please tell what the point is of these top speed runs?

How often and where do any of you think your going to go above 80?

seriously speeding is reckless enough but trying to top out STOCK cars on public roads is just a bad idea.

Not trying to be a dick or anything its just my opinion

it's a pretty good opinion to have, it raises your life expectancy.

lol you don't count, your car is a bastard , I've actually known about your car for a while through some friends of mine and Bill at Hahn, very impressed with it

I hit mine about 50ft after a 1/4 mark, maybe 75ft, but mine is a bit lower and a lot more mild build too

Well right now mine doesn't hit the limiter at all. Seems I blew the motor or something. Guess I'll know when I get the time to take it to the shop and tear it open. Next time out I'll be going for 11s though.

Seems like a rod snapped or something. I really don't know yet. Happened on the way to get my girl and go to the track too so I don't even have a cool story of it blowing up and me winning the race still or anything
