2.2 sump gasket oil leak

anyone know if this is an easy job to do my gasket has gone on the sump and its peeing oil so need to replace it does the sump just drop out once the oil is drained or more to it cheers

There are 2 gaskests, one is the oil pan which is just a silicone. Then there is a rubber/lined copper gasket on the front engine cover, that the oil gears are in. If you are refering to that gasket, it is fairly easy to replace. You must remove the belt tensioner, the crank pully and bolt (27 mm head i think), then there are about 10 bolts with a 10mm head that holds on this cover. Pull off the cover and put on a new one... should only take about an hour.
