Just talked to Vince - called me about meeting up this weekend (please dont call him he is busy!!)
Him and I are meeting on sat at noon to start work on a live ECU
..............and
my gf (who has an 05 ls w/ Auto) will be letting him try on hers to check and see if it works and he thinks it will.
We are going to test ONLY the a/f table and the timing table. If these are successful, then he will look into stuff such as goveners, limiters, PE delay...all that lol.
I have a dyno of my car on current mods and will not be changing ANYTHING but the tuning before we dyno (date not set yet) so that you can all see the changes made.
Vince did say that he is going to attempt (after this all works) to get a computer based system working,...but no promises yet, one step at a time.
He also is tossing around some ideas depeding on interest of taking a tour around to do custom dyno tunes around the country - not even planning yet, but just food for thought.
Here is what we are going to do:
because i am already going to be at his place this saturday as stated above...so i will be able to ask him some questions on the members behalf without taking any more of his time on the phone. Please PM me specific questions and i will take them to him. Please keep them relevant, i have the final auth on what acutally will get asked based on time, relevance, and such....

BACK FROM TUNING!!!!!
okay guys...i am here...sorry. after the tune i decided my car needed some royal purple
and some new spark plugs haha...
seriosly, it was a new car...and still is. the tune worked for the e16...FULLY WORKED. he can do PE delay (mine is set to zero, so when you stomp on it -WOT - you get open loop and the afr drops to 12.5). So first gear...it actually pulls!!!!!!!!
He also advanced my timing by 4deg....just before spark knock..so we is good. Vince is amazing!!
My car is basically alllll tuned...he thinks he removed the speed liimiter..which i will test tonight
the rev limiter will be looked at.
He said he can tune for tire size, gas type, everything!!!
My gf had her 06 auto there....although he needs to work on the algoryth to break into the ecu..but will be soon!! the e37 will also be worked on soon...but the first step has been reached!!
We will be dyno tuning my car as soon as we have some time on the dyno, i have a current mod dyno and will be able to compare before and after tune for you all
now...about how it wil work:
vince will have a basic tune made based on your mods, he will send you the gt tuner and you will upload it to your ecu...you will run and then EMAIL him the run...he will look, tune, and email you back a new one!! that easy
he is tossing around the idea of a few things...
1) a tour around the country to dyno tune some guys
2) selling the GT tuner for a few hundred $'s and the computer software to download it...
3)trying to create an hp tuner style tuning....
nothing is for sure yet on this.
By the seat of the pants meeter...the car feels GREAT!!! it pulls harder, pulls that faster due to PE delay at zero, sounds better, and runs smoother....

he needs to get into the ecm...its "password" uses an algorithm...he needs to work on that...the tuning is all set...just getting in is the prob
Oh,....and the speed limiter was removed because of my tires ( better then stock..but i need new rears lol, i didnt take it past 110...but def is gone

Thats friggin awsome. I wish i knew a release date and an estimated price so that I can prepare.
How would he tune for a N2O application. Would he set the ECM to pull timing under certain conditions or something? And if he can tune for premium gas and the 2.4 intake mani then that'll be even better!

What i want to know is if he is going be able to tune for F/I....i have this turbo project i'm working on...and still need the tuning before i can install it...

For a little proof, can you please take a quick video of you passing the 105 limit? Even if its a cell phone camera ya know? How do we know he didnt just reflash your car with the sport package that already has the 120mph limit? Im just making sure that no one gets ripped off is all. You have also been pm'ed =P

He could do the cobalt now the same way he did his camaro....which is:whenever his n20 is armed, and his rpms are above 3k...and he is above 90% throttle, it auto kicks in...it is a dry shot as well,....very simple set up for the n20. how he does it is that he has seperate timing and afr table for when the nos is on, so he doesnt need a wet shot or anything...it just tunes accordingly!! it is freaking awesome....took me for a ride...OMG
yes he can tune for F/I...and larger injectors...he can pretty much tune for any part!!!!!! And he is looking into the rev limiter, will update you on that once we test it

actually...he was talking about his as he had his z28 set up on N20 He could do the cobalt now the same way he did his camaro....which is:

I took it to 110 3 times today....in 4th gear...it pulled like CRAZY all the way to there!!!! I will get dyno vid proof for you when i do it...but until then with 112mph rated rear tires...i will be waiting...
