2.2 tuning in the works!!
#202
i took my b&M out it was making my tranny squeak really loud when it shifted, not sure what it was but it sounded quite unhealthy. i ditched it at that point. it would be nice to get a tune for a good firm shift but normal under regular driving, the B&M was obnoxious, jerking you around while doin a 2000 rpm shift. looks kinda dumb if u ask me.

yeh it is but, i would rather have one good shift pressure you know when your at wot its kickin in not jus cruisin real slow like and makin u angry yeh i know you can turn it off but not when the car is on. and id rather have it completely hidden id rather my car look stock and i dont wanna have to do something to get to the switch. yes i could hide it in the cab somewhere i know i had mine hidden, i jus feel more comfortable with something directly made for our car. the b&m doesnt even list cobalt and is for rwd applications. it works but its kinda iffy on whether i trust it or not, you know what i mean.
btw two modes there is . off and .. so 1 and 2

actually...he was talking about his as he had his z28 set up on N20 He could do the cobalt now the same way he did his camaro....which is:
whenever his n20 is armed, and his rpms are above 3k...and he is above 90% throttle, it auto kicks in...it is a dry shot as well,....very simple set up for the n20. how he does it is that he has seperate timing and afr table for when the nos is on, so he doesnt need a wet shot or anything...it just tunes accordingly!! it is freaking awesome....took me for a ride...OMG
how does the system switch between the nitrous and street tune? since there are no chips or piggyback unit that is being installed, where do you wire the switch to that would trigger the nitrous tune?

My guess is you have to reflash with the GT Tuner. Which IMO wouldnt be that bad. Im thinking about purchasing a meth kit so id like to have multiple tunes as well.

so you'd have to reflash everytime you sprayed? running a dry shot that would suck actually...
I wouldn't mind just having a good conservative street tune that I run all the time and then just adjust my jet sizes on the nitrous to get the AFR I'm looking for under spray.
Was just curious of how he was doing it...

and to IonNinja. I believe it looks for certain condition with the nitrous switch activated and adjust AFR accordingly and pulls itming if it has to. Another way is it looks for certian condition like when the computer reads the condition of the nitrous and then it adjusts for it.

Nothing will be figured out til there is a real release, stories and "testing" from multiple people does nothing but confuse everyone else. The 2 tune switch would be impossible with this system, bc it would suck to wait for you nitrous tune to come in the mail lol. This is just a reflash then its out of your hands.
#216
too bad its not an additional chip installed in the ECU like K Pro then we could have nitrous tuning and boost control and other cool stuff via the ECU.

I think you need to re-read how this is all going to work. They can send you a new tune via e-mail to upload to the GT Tuner so you can fine tune your car on the spot.
#219
i think he knows that...was just making a point that you'd still have to have the tuner in your hands for the e-mailed file to be useful.
