It is pretty clear that the outlet of the LSJ Manifold is larger then the L61 manifold. But what about the inlet ports. They look the same size.

Does anyone know for sure?

LSJ DP feels nice. It made my GMPP intake sound a little more quiet, but maybe that's because it made the exhaust a little louder. I'm looking very forward to getting an LSJ exhaust manifold to finish it all up.

No, the LSJ is still a lot less restrictive. It's not as bad as previous models, but it's not even close to the LSJ.

That's the 07 manifold, notice the bottleneck in it.

Truth is they are NOT the same. I have an 07 L61 and an lsj manifold sitting at my house right now. They are not the same.

Wanna buy mine? I had one when I was NA and I even put a nice port job on it and honed it out. It's as good as a GMPP honed extruded.

$50 shipped.

Yes but that is only half the battle.

There are some tiny bends in the 2.2 cat-back. Replace that while you are at it.

I helped install an full LSJ exhaust on a 07 ION sedan this weekend. I was shocked in the size differences in the dp and cat-back.

there is not one single bolt on that u will notice a difference in unless you do all of them at the same time.

you just cant feel a 5hp increase. thats less than the difference when u turn ur AC off.

We were not able to open it up since there was snow on the roads...

Dam WI!

But the owner has a GT tuner cable through Trifecta. So he is going to get the car retuned for the full exhaust.

He had an 07 so he already had the bigger exhaust manifold.

But I promise anyone. If you replaced an entire 06 or earlier 2.2 exhaust with an LSJ exhaust there is more then 5hp to be gained.

Defiantly a worth while mod. I would do this before an intake.

When I put exhaust on my old honda I noticed a difference. Granted it was after market if you increase airflow thru your motor you should feel a difference

the answer is YES. for the cost per hp/tq, it's a great upgrade for any ls.

You might now feel anything unless you replace the cat-back. It is tiny.

I am not 100% sure but I know all 07 + IONs use the larger exhaust manifold. So I think the exhaust manifold will be the same other then the fact that your O2 bung is on the dp instead of on the exhaust manifold like the LSJ.

So to run an LSJ DP on your car you would need to have an extra O2 bung welded into the dp.

A local muffler shop charged me $50 to do it this past weekend! You can get an LSJ exhaust manifold for less then that.
