what drama did i miss, and im glad i left if there is nothing but drama still going on with that group
He's talking about you taking anyone on with lowered compression. N/A, the lower the compression, the less power you're creating. No one said that your car won't run fine.

Your stock plastic manifold is just fine. Just because one person had a issue doesn't mean you will (if that's your inspiration to do that change).

pretty much he wants the metal intake manifold to replace our plastic one. it bolts right in place of our plastic one. Gotta love GM getting their hands into foriegn cars.
The ECOTEC in general is a foreign engine design and I believe they got it around the time they took over Saab. If you go to europe, there are various versions of ECOTEC engines that are completely different than what we have here.

the stage 1 comp cams are proven 15 more hp the reduction of compression from 10:1 to 9:1 is right around a loss of 15hp. there for the stage 1 comp cams balance out the loss of the HP.

Plastic is a great insulator, so until you need a metal intake because of boost reasons, it functions very well.

Umm...

I wouldn't really count on that guestimation of power and just cause they advertise that doesn't mean that is what you'll gain.

Until you're running forced induction, don't get the manifold. The change in intake air velocity will be a negative effect.

its not a guestimation. my buddies 04 2.2L cavy with the same cams in it is putting down 220 whp N/A. he also has other things done like bored .020 over, port and polish, 5 angle valve job. but he still has his dyno sheets of the 15 hp gain from just doing the stage 1 cams as his first mod to the engine.

I'll have an update for everyone in a few more days. While im out to sea my girl is giving them a call and see whats up with what MRD is doing and how far along they are with my car. I also asked her to see if she can go pick up what pictures they have taken so far of the brake down and rebuild. keep an eye out over the next 4 or 5 days

Even still, it doesn't mean that you'll gain the same amount of power...

And with that type of work, I find it hard to believe he's gaining that much power unless he's doing something else you're not mentioning.

Well guys the moment of truth is almost here. I pick my car up from Millennium Racing Development (MRD) in about 36 hours. I just picked up the B&M shiftplus shift kit for my automaitc too. I'll put out some video of what the work did to my car and then ill put out a video of what the shift kit did to the car.

Do you realize what you just posted? are you in the navy? because im a navy contractor(i work for NMCI) and you just revealed when your going to be deployed. can you say SECURITY VIOLATION.... thats the whole reason the military blocked myspace on all their networks, because morons(not saying you are one) were posting information they shouldnt have been posting. And if your not in the navy, then post away =P

I was joking, but to be honest, there is enough information in there. You know where hes leaving and what weeks hes leaving and returning, thats specific enough for anything. but it was mostly a joke with a bit of a warning added, thats all. You never know, the DOD could shut this site down =P i doubt it but who knows

no crap huh. its only violation to give spacifit time and dates and ship names. also on that note the time frames give are moved to the left and to the right a bit just for that reason because of people like you

Gray and Brain said they took pictures of the removeal, break down, and rebuild so i should have some good pictures to put up on here. I'll shoot some video too and then take some pictures of the install of the B&M and another video with that as well.

one other thing. i seen that the automatic trany mounts came out finaly and are in stock at cobalt performance parts. think im going to pic up those and an engine mount from turbo tech racing.
