2.2L Exhaust
looking for a good performance, yet cheap exhaust system for my LS coupe, and have no real idea on whats good an bad. need some enlightenment from all you fellow cobalt maniacs out there. basically if i had to describe what i was looking for, the phrase would be the best bang for the buck

If I were you, I would look into the GMPP exhausts. I'm thinking about gettin one myself sometime early next year. Also, use the search button; I believe there is a sticky in the 2.2L performance section that has the products that are out for our cars. There is also a thread somewhere with sound clips of the GMPP exhaust, both the sport and touring. Hope you find what you're looking for.

You will enjoy the ease of installation and the sound of a GMPP performance Cat-Back exhaust. If you can afford it and you don't have tha Air Injection System -- look for an additional hose coming out of the top of the air box, if you have this hose you have the AIS -- then get the GMPP Extrude Honed Exhaust manifold; and if you can't afford it get the base SS exhaust manifold (need gaskets and studs too). Both flow a lot more than the LS manifold with its' small "D" shaped exit hole. Also, if you don't have the AIS get the GMPP Performance Intake too.
There are plenty of threads that cover all of these.

GMPP warranty:
If you buy car and have GMPP exhaust put on by dealer prior to delivery or during the GM New-Vehicle Limited Warranty-- full car warranty applies
If you have dealer put on GMPP exhaust after purchase and after GM New-Vehicle Limited Warranty -- parts and labor for 1 year
If you, or other than GM dealer, put on GMPP exhaust -- parts for 1 year
GMPP parts do not affect the rest of the car's warranty -- GMPP parts cannot be used against you for other warranty issues.
Effective with purchases on or after 3/24/2005 ref.: GMPP 2007 Vehicle Performance Catalog Pages 60 and 62.
