2.2L Turbo 04 ION 15 lbs boost and no tuning,
i was talking with brian fox from fox marketing. he was telling me about his 04 ion that he ran a turbo on. this car was built in 04 and he said he ran to tuning at all. ran 15 pounds of boost. with no issues. 20,000 miles later the car still running 100%.

so just because hes stupid enough to do that...doesn't mean anyone else should attempt it.
That is obviously a show car so I'd have to argue how much that car is even driven.

ok do any of u ****** idiots read the actual page??he tows a ****** seadoo behind it...he does drive this car...and hes obvously nota joke..look how many cars he has built. hes a ****** genious
#17
so genious he built an untuned turbo show car
there was a local Cavalier guy here that was running 13's w/ a completely untuned Hahn turbo kit
just because he does it doesn't mean he should be looked up to or taken as "maybe i can run my car untuned temporarily"
i'm willing to bet its not completely untuned though...at the very least I bet hes running an FMU and just stressing the hell outta the stock injectors.

I don't care how many cars hes done, if he half asses them like he has supposedly done this one then good for him. take your car to him so he can blow it up...

Here are the facts boy and girls. Twistec Performance in Ohio did the turbo kit in 2004 and Jeff who owned the company at the time engineered it. Brian took his car to him and with the 04 computer at the time it just didn't need it he told him.
Here is the reason why you don't need it. When Jeff from Twistec put it on the dyno he checked the air/fuel number and they read 14.2 at full boost which is not lean or rich on the dyno. That is how you can tell whether at car needs tuning or not by your air/fuel reading. If you have good air/fuel number you are good to go because the car will not lean out and blow up. In this case, the car was good to go and Brian got the car back.
Now, in 2004 Brian beat the living **** out of the and towed the Sea Doo behind it turbo'ed up and down the East Coast to go to GM type events like Tuner Bash in Daytona Beach. The car wasn't meant to be a show car, or even entered a show. It was built to beat the **** out of and drive. That is why Fox designs car, is to drive just like you.
Last year he sold the car to a kid in SC who was in the Airforce and I think he ended up selling it and buying a new Mustang or some ****.
Bottom line, he isn't blowing smoke, not his style. He heard people where saying it couldn't be done and was a worry to other. If he can go 20,000 miles with with the factory ECU, then if you have that year or close you should be able to. Also, there where no check engine lights in the car which is good. It passed emissions in PA which is good!
