2.4 Intake Manifold $?

hi guys i got a new 08 2.2L STD Imperial Blue Cobalt... i just wanted to know:

1-. how much is a 2.4l intake manifold?
2-. where can i buy it? GM dealer?
3-. how much does the installation cost?

4-.With a CAI , 2.4l mani, header, cat, exhaust... will I notice a difference?
5-.how many hp?
6-.will i be able to beat stock 2.4l?

thank you very much guys... this is a really nice site

did you just say 25-30hp gain with this? lolol thats unheard of. yeah u can get that much WITH a tune both together. CED says only 10-12 hp gain and thats with full exhaust i believe

10-12 was what they found with JUST the 2.4 intake mani. it is not unfathomable to think that with CAI, Header, DP and exhaust to see another 10 to 15... Gotta remember that EVERY part of the intake and exhaust on base model balts are extremely restrictive.

I would love to go through with installing the 2.4 intake mani, but I have the SAI system in my car.

While he may be able to reuse the intake-to-head gaskets he will need to get the PCV plate (2.2 does not have), some vaccum line, TB gasket (not the same) and if it is an earlier 05-06 2.2 he should look into the TB plate and gasket that CED sells to insure a positive and long-term seal.

Just a good idea to purchase CED's MMGF kit so he has everything needed at one time w/installation instructions.

SAI would have no effect on this.

OK, Consider yourself corrected....the SAI attaches to the top of the welded-steel exhaust manifold.

Ok, now consider yourself corrected too....the intake is needed to make the engine run, so it is very involved, just not involved with the SAI

Beat a stock 2.4....yeah, but why stop there. Go after 96-98 Mustang Gt's too. As long as the are stock automatics and your a 5 speed and can drive you can win. I beat a 96-97 GT 3 times in a row at the track (1/8 mile) but it was close, if i hadn't known the sweet spot for launching my car he would have gotten me (and i don't even had a 2.4 mani). And i just raced one with gears and exhaust 2 friday's ago at another track, if i would have launched harder we would have been about even (i didn't know the sweet spot for that track) but instead he got me.
