You could wait for another member to have it for sale. I've seen a few threads in the past.

I think GMpartsdirect had a good price on the manifold. But it doesn't include the brake booster hose. (Or the TB adapter plate obviously) I wonder what the price would be if you bought everything separate.

Brake booster hose for the 2.4. TB adapter plate from CED. (Unless of course you are going with the 2.4 TB in which case you will also need a Trifecta tune to make that work)

Does the 2.4 manifold from GMpartsdirect come with the gaskets though?

i was planning on trifecta tune any way..does CED have the brake booster hose? Ill email GMPD and find out about the gaskets. If they answer no, I could prolly pick those up too right?

And if i go with the 2.4 TB would that make for an easier install?

You could probably just get some hose from your local autoparts store and save some $$. Don't know about the gaskets though.

Getting the 2.4 TB won't change the install at all. All thats holding the TB to the IM is 4 bolts and then there is the Throttle Position Sensor. It will effect when you install it though because you will need to flash the computer before you try to run it. (Obviously )

If you buy just the 2.4 manifold you could reuse your head-to-intake gaskets but you'll need to get the PCV plate/gasket -- the 2.2 does not have a removable PCV plate/gasket like the 2.4. The 2.2 has just a gasket because the PCV orifice is a hole in the 2.2 manifold.

Getting the CED 2.4 mani-kit insures you have everything when you do the swap.

I emailed GMPD.

So all i need is Mani, 2.4tb, gaskets(hopefully included), and brake booster hose, then cap it off with a trifecta?

final question- The hose isn't vehicle specific?

RED07 your prolly right, I should just get the CED package. Then I just have to pick up the TB right?

sorry for the n00b ?'s

When buying a manifold from GM they typically do not come with the gaskets. You can use the right size hose but it will not have the bends in it.

Yes, call CED about the 2.4 TB -- I think they can beat any price AND shipping costs. You will not be able to run the 2.4 TB on your 2.2 without a tune for it.

Trifecta does tune for the 2.4TB right? I'm pretty sure I saw that on here.

If he's asking about the factory 2.4 hose it is specific to the SS 2.4L engine. If he's asking if an aftermarket hose will work, yes, using the right size inside-diameter will work it just won't go around all the obsticals nicely for a clean "factory" look.

Yeah, I meant the diameter. Meh, the "factory look" isn't everything. I do agree that its good to keep it as clean as possible though. I bet you could still piece together a decent looking setup for less than the cost of the hose.

Are you talking about the breather hose that runs from the intake to the valve cover?

Just went outside and took a look. It seems to be .75" outer /.50 " inner. A 5.5" length works for my AEM.

Is it reallyl that great of a gain?
Hows it compare to old. not in numbers but in general. I am thinking the 2.4 intake mani, the GMPP touring exhaust i already have the intake. I know its a leased car but i might buy it out if i get a good performance jump out of it,
