2004 Ion question

I was looking into the 2.2L aftermarket and found that most things say 2005-up. Will bolt-on parts for the 2005 Cobalt work with my 2004 Ion with no modification? I searched and couldn't find anything related to this on the forum.

Now why is this? This is my first Delta, so pardon any newb questions. better to get them out of the way now and make a solid plan for mods. I was mainly in the W-body community for my LQ1 Monte, and the LQ1 had the heads and intake redesigned for 1996 so a lot of aftermarket is incompatable between the 2 years. So I was just wondering if the L61 went through a similar update.

What would I need to swap over, and from what, to make the PCM tune-able?

computer and ignition (spark) I think. And some cutting and splicing in the harness to make it all work. Might also need bcm and ignition switch (where you put the key).

He's right,
I owned a new 04 Ion QC3, ground effects, custom seat covers, etc. before the 09 HHR SS and 11 Regal.

I held on to hopes (paid it off) that someone would come out with tuning for it so I could slap a turbo charger or something on it.

A lot of empty promises for tuning support from 2004 to 2009 when I was still paying on mine and still notta.
