Dammit, why do the 2.2s have to be so hard to tune, i am curious to see what happened. Sorry to hear you are having problems.
I emailed trifecta(clear image) a few days ago about tuning a custom turbo'd 2.2l and they have not responded. I wanted to know if they thought they could do it...

yah, headstuds, mainstuds, just about every bolt on the damn thing is one time use only, complete gasket set, arp headstuds, cometic head gasket. might as well cryo treat it for another $450 while your at it, the cryo shop is in palmdale. cam sensor seals, oil cooler seals, there's a bunch of **** yah gotta get to rebuild these motors. allot for about 2K more than you plan money wise cause the build will run over your initial estimates, i'll guarantee that, and will take longer than you think as well.

well the tune was fine....till i got to about 6k rpm it started to lean out....so me and vince went to change the tune....and with the new file that he sent me i went for a cruise to try it out.....and we wanted to accomplish a complete WOT at the redline of 7200....but for some reason it choked up.....and it leaned out real bad....so now she just sits in my parking spot.....im not too worried about it.....well im not worried about it all....im not even sad or mad....im actually kinda glad now.....i was waiting for it to break so that i could have a reason to break into the dam engine.....but no i wasnt beating on it.....not until the day it broke....but im not really sure what broke yet.....im thinking its the valvetrain.....but i dont know since i havent opened her up yet....but i can tell you that it doesnt hold any kind of compression at idle

what kind of afr's were you seeing up top when it **** the bed? when we were initially tuning my 2.4, we had some lean spikes because it wouldn't go into PE. I personally saw my car hit 16.4 afr for a maximum of .5 seconds 3-4 consecutive hits. Still going strong though...how long did you hold in the throttle when you busted it?
