say no to temp fixes

get it done right, take out a loan. build it somehow.

i was kind of in the same boat as you. and needed to rebuild the top end, so instead of doing a temp fix, i built it up. thats what you need man

hey, ive been strongly thinking about turboing the balt, but i guess im just scared...

do you like the power? whered you get your turbo? and piping? what about axles? transmission?

That's great news. Should hold together well if you get it put together correctly.

So it wasn't Vince's tune that caused the problem? I'm just asking because I want to verify that there shouldn't be a problem tuning and installing the Garrett kit on my 06 Auto LS. My whole theory was that someone should grab the numbers off of a turboed stick Cobalt. If it's been done, shoot me. lol

That's why I'm waiting a bit on mine. I want them to be really proficient on the garrett kit before I put one on my daily driver. It sounded nice before it blew though, if that's any consolation.

How much did your forged pistons and rods cost you?

Yea them getting back to you should not take so long. But typically Pistons are special order and may take 4-6 weeks before delivery. If pistons are in stock they should ship in 2-3 days.

only assuming

well they said they had to source them from wiseco direct and that i should expect a 3-4 day wait before they shipped them out....its now been 9 days since i last heard from them. I have sent them multiple messages and 2 phone calls and still no response

No intercooler huh? Just no room or what? I would get a tiny intercooler and mount it before none at all. Sorry, I just noticed this when I went looking through your pics and had to ask.
