2006 Pontiac Pursuit 2.2L build going supercharged...

I may as well make a thread to track my progress, I'll keep my first post in this thread updated for simplicity sake and I'll make bumps for updates.

Current phase: Collecting parts.

What I have currently:
- Eaton M62 supercharger
- LSJ intake manifold
- K&N SS/SC CAI
- LSJ throttle body
- LSJ Heat Exchanger
- LSJ Intake manifold gasket
- 42# injectors + harnesses
- Stage 2 belt
- intercooler pump
- 2.8 & 3.1 pulley (although I might just use the 3.1 pulley)
- Large assortment of clamps & bolts
- & a bracket (I think heat exchanger pump bracket??)
- ZZP pillar tri-gauge pod.
- Trifecta cable (heck yes, I am a dealer now!!!) & tune purchased.

In limbo for now:
- ZZP Adjustable Tensioner pulley -- found/purchased & pending shipment.
- LSJ Idler Pulley -- found/purchased & pending shipment.
- LSJ MAP/IAT2 sensor - pending shipment
- LSJ Upper rad hose - pending shipment
- LSJ Alternator Bracket - pending shipment
- Cobalt SS/SC window washer fluid reservoir & pump - pending shipment

What I need:
- Three gauges to fill my pods (1- BOOOOST!, 2- Wideband, 3- Interceptor)

If anyone else wants to help me with what else I need or should add to the list, let me know! Also if you have parts I'm looking for, let me know as well!!!

My target date was suppose to be end of April, now due to my budget, more like end of May.

Thanks for looking, my next update will probably be after I order parts in 2 weeks from now

UPDATE::: 05/05/2009 Found a tensioner, pending shipment from a CSS member

UPDATE::: 05/07/2009 Not purchasing from original seller since no response but found another CSS member who will be selling me his ZZP Adjustable Tensioner & tensioner piston & Idler pulley

UPDATE::: 05/13/2009 All parts (minus gauges) HAVE BEEN PURCHASED!!! Should all hopefully be in Washington by next Friday latest... if not then I may need to wait 1 more weekend to supercharge .

What's a "Head Exchanger"? That sounds too kinky to be with the blower setup.

Thanks bud. I'll get you hooked up.

I'm going to put an interceptor in the 3rd one.

Actually, they don't. You can get an interceptor without the Cobalt logo. If you go to the interceptor website you'll see it. I'm going to get the one with the black bezel, white face and red numbers.

plus Aero force just released a wideband provision kit for the interceptor for 189, so you dont have to buy a seperate guage for the wideband.

get the wideband gauge anyway. you'll want an independant gauge specifically for the wideband. its probably the most important gauge you'll need

These guys really went out of their way to do the How-To's. Hunter has been very valuable to me. There are some small things left out in the How-To's, but maybe when you're in there it may be obvious. But, in preparing for the install, it makes me nervous.

I looked at Hunters How-To again last night. I'm trying to figure out where the IC pump (bracket) gets mounted, but it is not clear... and maybe just because I'm not reading it properly, or it will be clearly obvious when I go to do it.

it will be obvious when you do it lemme see if i have any pics.

You were asking about the brake booster?

you can see it underneath the far bolt to the right that is circled in red.

for the pump bracket:
this piece (specifically those top two holes closest to the camera

bolts up to the lower manifold bracket

through the bottom two holes.

Thanks for the appreciation guys. it means a lot to me

Yes, thanks, I found out by looking in the manual this afternoon the brake booster hose is on my intake... so I will order the LSJ one in the AM!

As for the mount. This makes a little more sense to me. I guess in your how-to you showed bolting in the intake manifold mount... but never pictured how the actual IC pump mounting bracket is attached.

So, I mount the intake manifold mount to the block. Put the IC pump bracket through the bottom two holes. Now, do the IC pump mount brackets go through the bottom intake mount and through 2 more holes in the block, do the bolts go through and they have nuts on the back of the bracket or do the bolts just screw into the bottom of the bracket and not go through the back or anything.

Everyone is talking about you dude, lol, with your help, and it means a ton to us. This is going to do nothing but make my install day easier because I have a much better understanding of what I'm getting into.

Ahhh that is great. I kind of figured so. Ok, so when I get my bottom mount and IC brackets I'll just get the bolts to do so. Thanks man!!

Lets start a HunterKiller89 fan club.

As I was ordering some parts today I looked at the bracket again, because I had to order one, and there is a 3rd bolt that you haven't mentioned. It looks like it goes to the block?

It is #15 in the following link.

^^ that bolt WOULD bolt up to the LSJ oil pan, but our oil pan is different and doesnt have a threaded hole for it, so that bolt is unused
